La cabeza si era como mas anubis pero el cuerpo era mas musculoso, ahora cambio el modelo y se ve mas delgado.

The concept of the character has evolved a bit in my mind, over the years. But the general idea is that he belongs to a secretive order of scholars who have had their bodies changed to have more endurance on the hostile alien worlds that they explore (hence the leathery skin). The animal-heads designate their caste within the order. "Soldier" here (now known as Dr. Akai) does have a deliberately Anubis-like appearance, signifying his place in the order.
Of all the drawings of this character, Ximon's is still my favorite.

He kind of reminds me of Anubis (sp?) from Egypt. Probably cause of the strong anatomy.
