Another recent drawing. This is a commissioned Amazonian giant centipede (Scolopendra gigantea) for a tattoo.

The Amazonian giant centipede lives in the north and west of South America, as well as in Jamaica and Trinidad. Its large size (up to 40 cm) allows it to attack even small vertebrates, which it kills with poisonous mandibles. The venom can be dangerous to human life, at least one case of death has been recorded. However, usually giant centipede bites cause only local swelling and pain. Despite its size and venom, it is often kept by invertebrate lovers.

Since, as you know, I very rarely draw invertebrates, the centipede turned out to be a new object of drawing for me. But it turned out to be not so difficult to draw it, even rather the opposite. Perhaps this will inspire me to draw invertebrates more often in the future.
