If you look at my photos, I have taken quite a few over the years of that hollow in the tree. It is not really a suitable nesting site. It is next to the road and only about 8 feet off the ground. It is very exposed. I think that all the "young couples" give it a go. lol Still, I don't mind because is is very convenient for taking photos.

Yes, it's particularly true in times like these. If only people would take the time to actually see the beauty in nature ... and put their phones away!!! lol
Just yesterday while I was walking, I stopped to say G'day to an old couple. I was only telling them what I said to you when I noticed a kookaburra in a nearby tree. I pointed it out to them. They seemed pleased.

My cell phone broke recently. I'm trying to see how long I can go without it! lolΒ
So far I'm doing pretty well. (about 2 weeks) I DON'T miss it at all! Besides, I'm home most of the time anyway and friends can call me on the landline.
Kookaburras are one of my favorite birds.

Oh good for you it only costs us money anyway. I think it was the worse invention. I can remember before they started this cell phone nonsense when people would read books and newspapers or do crosswords if they were let's say riding the train or bus.Β KookaburrasΒ are very nice birds I am not sure I can pick out a favorite anymore as there are just too many species of birds that are very beautiful
