Description The next chapter is here ^^
In this one we get to have some fun before naptime.

And it has been a while since I've drawn my imaginary kids. But with this new story they would be perfect canadets for background characters. So Yuui and Tama got to be in this picture.

You can read the written portion here:

Working at the Superstar Daycare Ch 8Chapter 8: Having Fun The rest of Monty Monday went off without any issues. The children had so much fun that it was hard to say goodbye. Many wanted a hug before leaving. That made me a little nervous. I worried about someone getting pinched in the metallic joints or the animatronic using too much force. Those thoughts were washed away when I saw how gentle the robot was with the children. These mascots are made to entertain kids, I had to remind myself. Of course, it would be fine. Before I knew it we sat at the tables in the check-in area with our lunches. The children happily ate and occasionally asked for help opening something. Most of them had packed lunches. The ones who came regularly, I assumed. Since anyone who didn't pack a lunch was given some pizza instead. Those parents wouldn't want them to eat pizza every day. I found it hard to eat much. My mind was too busy analyzing all the possibilities during nap time. Do I need to set up any cots? Would there be music provided? Are all of these children staying for nap? Where was this Moon guy? Does it just stay in the quiet corner all day? I hadn't seen that animatronic yet. But I also hadn't been in the daycare that long this morning. It was very possible that I just missed it showing up. Maybe I could ask- “Hello~!” A hand waved in front of my face, “Earth to Miss Nae-nae!” “What? Huh?” I looked up to see Mia leaning over me. “We're going back to the play place, now,” She put her hand out to help me up off the tiny chair, “Wouldn't want to lose ya~” She giggled. “Oh, sorry,” I grabbed my leftovers and hefted my weight off of the floor, “I was spacing out.” My eyes observed the children around me. They were gathered by Miss Cassandra who was waiting by the top of the stairs. I turned my head a couple of times, “That's not everyone, is it?” “A few of them got picked up,” Mia talked as she walked to the line of children, “So now there's 16.” She tilted her head, her hair bounced with the sudden motion. “You didn't notice?” “Uh, no...” I glanced away. I may have remembered hearing someone say goodbye. I was too focused to really register that at the time. “Wow, that must have been one good daydream,” Mia's giggle was infectious. Some of the children laughed. Even I laughed. She waved me over, “Come on let's go!” I nodded and followed at the end of the line of children like before. “I do hope that isn't a habit,” Miss Cassandra turned slightly to aim that comment at me, “We are supposed to watch the children.” She gave me that motherly concern. A wave of shame tingled my spine. I straightened my posture and responded, “It won't be, uh... I was just thinking about stuff. Um-” I had to find some way to make my time seem productive, “Do you guys do a lot of arts and crafts? Because I was wondering if I could do some projects with the kids. Are there themes we follow or-?” “Oh, Sun usually does art with the children,” Miss Cassandra tapped the door knocker three times and waited, “Lots of painting. Not really any themes. What did you have planned?” “I could bring a bunch of stuff. Figure out what their skill levels are,” After a little beep from the other side, the door began to slowly open, “Maybe we could make little hats first. Make them look like Mr. Sun's rays.” I imagined that those wouldn't be too hard to make with paper plates and paint. “That is a WONDERFUL idea~!” Sun's elated voice echoed through my thoughts, “Can we do that now? Please! Please! Please!” He jovially pranced to my side. Our train of children were all inside and putting their shoes away. Sun's eyes flashed with stars and suns. He leaned over me with his hands together, begging. “Uh- okay,” I wasn't sure why he needed my permission at first. But seeing how the children began to reflect his excitement I understood. “I'll have to see if we have everything, first.” With the daycare robot's help, we found the materials and were all set. The kids were a mixed bag, skill-wise. Which was fair, since they were different ages. From 2 to 5, it seemed. So Some of them needed more help using the scissors. It did take some convincing to have Mr. Sun get the scissors out, though. He said something about them being too dangerous. But eventually, we agreed that with supervision it was okay. Before long the children were prancing around with their new hats. Some pretended to be Mr. Sun and danced around the other kids. It seemed to be the perfect prop for this last batch of playing. I took this opportunity to ask Sun about something. “Excuse me, Mr. Sun?” It was still a bit weird to talk to a robot like this but I carried on anyway, “Can I ask you something?” “Sure thing, Miss Nae-nae!” Sun turned to give his full attention to me. His rays swayed from side to side. It was rather mesmerizing to look at. “Your first day must be full of questions. I'm here to help!” “Well, I was curious about uh-” I glanced away. It was still hard to stare at that permanent grin. I noticed that some of the children had taken off their hats and were chasing the others around. Saying that they were 'Mr. Moon'. “The other animatronic that's here. There's two statues upstairs so-” “Ah you mean Moon,” Sun's voice lowered, “He's always here,” He tapped on his head. I wasn't sure what that meant. After seeing my confusion Sun continued, “When the lights are turned off, Moon takes over. He was in charge of nap time.” “Was?” I questioned. , “Yes,” Sun got in closer to mimic whispering to me. For others, it may have looked cute, but for me right then it felt intimidating. “He's been acting strange lately. Not himself. So you are now in charge of nap time instead.” “Oh, o-okay...” My heart twinged with dread, “Guess I'll just -uh- do my thing, then.” I was going to be alone for nap time again. Dang it... Well, here's hoping that it won't be too bad... “ATTENTION Pizzaplex patrons!” the announcement rang out from the speakers outside the play area. It was a voice I hadn't heard yet. “Nap time will begin in ten minutes. The lights will be turned off in this area until 3:00 pm. It is recommended that you enjoy another part of our establishment during this time.” Miss Cassandra called the children over, “Come here, please. Everyone will try to use the bathroom before bed.” I felt like I should help with this so I was about to rush over there when Sun tapped my shoulder. “Don't worry, Miss Nae-nae. Moon should wait out here until nap is finished. I'll make sure of it.” His eyes showed moons. His voice sounded concerned almost. Was it possible for a robot to be worried? Sun was making a good case in favor of it. I simply smiled and nodded in response before leaving the robot. Mia waved at me on my way over. She held her hand up to me and waited. After a moment I realized she wanted a high five. I awkwardly patted her palm with my own. She had taken her apron off and was carrying a small bag. “Well, I'm off. We did great today!” Miss Mia gave a thumbs up, “The kids loved it!” She offered an arm to me which I accepted, “And you'll do great in the quiet corner I just know it~ Those kiddos seem to like you already.” “Y-yeah,” I gave Mia a slight squeeze to signify that this 'hug' was over, “I'll try my best... See you tomorrow?” “Yup!” She let her arm fall off of me and began to walk to the door, “See ya!” I wiggled my fingers in her direction before the door closed behind her. There went the only person I was 'okay' talking with... Alright, no more stalling. I had to get started on nap time for real now. I pumped myself up with a mental pep talk and got started. Cassandra told me that she was fine on restroom duty so I focused my attention on the quiet corner. I had yet to go inside. Now was my chance to finally see what was in there. I forced my brain to focus on the curiosity about the place. Rather than on how nervous I was. I put on a dorky smile and pushed the heavy curtain aside. “Woah...” I adjusted my balance. On the other side, there was a ramp descending below. Gently leading to a lower level of the Pizzaplex. There were glowing stars and constellations decorating the walls and floor. I couldn't tell if they were lights or simply glow-in-the-dark. But it all made for a magical experience. It was like swimming through space. Only you could breathe. Thankfully. It was only a short walk down to the bottom. Curtains were hanging from the ceiling. All of them covered in more stars and the occasional crescent moon. It made me think of the pillow forts I would make when I was little. There were mats neatly placed in rows along the floor. Some were accompanied by folded blankets and pillows. Did the Pizzaplex provide the bedding or are these from the regular kids? Either way, this meant that I didn't have to prepare those beds. That was nice. Before long a child had made their way down to me. It was the boy with the Freddy shirt, Kevin. He was rubbing his eyes, clearly very tired. He looked around sluggishly. He eventually fixed his gaze on me. “Teacher,” he mumbled. “Yes, what is it?” I replied quietly to set the volume level in the quiet room. “I need a sheet,” The little guy was so tired he could barely keep his eyes open. “You're right, you do,” I gently patted his head, “Could you show me where they are?” “Mhm...” Kevin shuffled over to a corner next to the ramp. There were two receptacles I hadn't noticed before. One with sheets and the other with blankets. All with Fazbear and Friends prints on them. So they still used stuff from the old show after all. I smiled as the wave of nostalgia hit me. I grabbed a sheet and blanket and looked back to my little companion. “Alright, which bed would you like?” I asked gently. The little boy touched the nearest mat with his foot. I wasted no time and made his bed. I had done this so many times that it was autopilot at this point. Kevin was sound asleep before I could tuck him in. It must have been a really fun morning, I thought. More children trickled in as they finished with the bathroom up top. I made more beds as needed. Some of them used the prepared mats. Those children came every day, I assumed. I was surprised by how tired all of them were. Most of them fell asleep right away. No help needed. Those days were rare at my other jobs. Very rare. Before long almost everyone was laying down. Miss Cassandra made her way down with the last child. It was her youngest, Mikey. He was clutching her dress hiding. He could barely stand up. Mikey's mother had to hold her skirt up to keep it, and by extension him, from falling down. “Everything going well?” Cassandra whispered. She led her son over to a mat with extra fluffy bedding. The little guy looked like a snug baby turtle once his Mom tucked him in. “Yeah, actually. It's going really well,” I replied in a hushed tone, “Most of them are asleep already.” It was a relief to have everything go so smoothly. But it did seem a bit too good to be true. Like there was something else going on. “Ah, those candies worked well, then,” My coworker motioned for me to join her by her son's mat. His eyes were still open. Struggling, but still open. It seemed he was too interested in what his Mom was doing to fall asleep. I would have to keep this conversation short. So I'll have to ask about the candies later. “Is there anything else I need to do? Do you play music?” I asked. “There's speakers you can connect to, but it only works when it wants to,” Cassandra shrugged, “Only thing you have to do is put the borrowed blankets in the laundry after nap.” I nodded. I would have to look around to find where that was. But I had time. “Okay, got it. Uh-” I just realized I forgot something, “Could you watch them a moment? I need to get my bag.” “Of course, dear,” She smiled back, “Once you're back I'll be going on my break.” “Right, I'll be quick,” I quietly scuttled up the ramp and back to the main play area. It was already dark. The whole area was empty and quiet. I got the feeling I was being watched. However, instead of scaring me, it made me smile. “Oh nose~” I whispered to myself, “So spooky~” I suppressed a goofy giggle. The thought of a horrific monster lurking in the colorful kid's equipment was just too silly to me. I thought about them playing around saying 'weee' in their deep, intimidating voices. I would have to draw that. I scampered over to my locker and got out my messenger bag. I slung it over my shoulder and just as quickly made my way back to Miss Cassandra. I paused only a moment when I thought I heard something above me. But after looking about I couldn't make out much of anything. It must have been someone in a party room or something, I thought. Or the animatronic. Funny that I hadn't heard him at all. Sun had something to say about everything today. Oh wait... The lights are off. He did say that Moon comes out then. Guess the robot is waiting like he said it would. I had no time to investigate it, though. Shame. Miss Cassandra was right where I left her. I gave her a thank you wave that she returned. “He has trouble falling asleep sometimes,” She said motioning to the snuggled little boy next to her. “No worries,” I whispered. She leaned down and kissed her boy's head. She whispered something I couldn't understand. Mikey nodded but had a look of worry on his face. With a swish of her skirt, Cassandra was gone. I took my place sitting next to her son. Welp, time to do what I was hired for.
