This is a lovely piece! The details are just amazing. I love all the light effects, particularly the ones lining parts of her and on her eyelashes. It's very easy to use those kinds of effects badly, but you did a great job! The shading on the hair is lovely, and the anatomy and her face look great.
There are a few minor issues that could improve this piece a lot. The main thing I noticed was that the shading isn't consistent-- sometimes it's amazing, like on the hair, eyes, and face, but sometimes it's very messy, mainly on the body. When it gets there, it gets fairly blurry too dark in parts, like her collarbone and shoulder. The shape of the necklace looks very lumpy, and the strap of the dress is much blurrier than the rest of it. The shading on the face is much more crisp and subtle, but on the body it's much messier and a little scary-looking, as the darkness of the shading makes it look like parts of her body, like her collarbone and the things in her neck (idk what they're called) are sunken.
Another thing I noticed was that there were just a few small things that were off. The shape of the necklace, obviously, but the strand of hair in the front has shading at the top that makes it look like it's not connected to her head, it just becomes circular at the end and is floating in midair. The water in the background is sometimes pointed and smooth and sometimes more circular and water-shaped. Her hair is much thinner than the braid ends up being, as it's cut off by the front strand. Generally, more attention needs to be paid to the whole picture, because these are just some weird mistakes. The just make the whole thing look a little messier.
Overall, though, this is amazing! It's just beautifully detailed and the anatomy is pretty much on point (for the style you're going for, obviously). It just has a few odd issues, but the whole concept is great! Keep going

first, I love this peace the anatomy is very good the expression OMG, the things that could be improved is the flatness of her choker, everything is so detailed, also her face hair and the water on fleek but everything else is kinda blurry, try adding more contrast on the edge, as I said the waters flipping nice but it draws the attention away from her.

Hey I'm project comment!

So I'm a fan of the ALTA series and like the piece you have created. Let's talk about the positives; I'm extremely impressed with your rendering of the water and the hair, those are some of the hardest things to capture in digital painting. The skin you painted definitely looks and feels wet, along with the hair. Your color palette is spot on, these are definitely Katara's colors and is made even more evident with the necklace. The sine and translucence of the water looks great, and the water droplets capture the motion of the water, insinuating that Katara's using her water bending.

Now for the negative; while this is a beautiful piece, I have some problems. The anatomy is off, especially with the head, neck, and perspective of the shoulders. This is hard to do, and even I struggle with capturing perspective. The back of the head should be longer, while the slope for the forehead and the nose should be a little more pronounced. The eyebrow should be curved, this creates the illusion of depth to the face, and there should be a slight curve to the chin. Katara's nose feels too stylized, while I understand you're going for semi-realism, it doesn't look believable. The edges look too soft, especially on the necklace, the pendent on the necklace, and the clothing that Katara's wearing. I struggle with this too, and painting clothing is tough. KNKL has some great tutorials on painting clothing and creating hard edges. Over all I like this piece and think you did a great job!
