They said Kaldur would be unable to hear anyone. "His mind is gone," Nightwing said flatly. "The strain of Miss Martian's attack and the subsequent reprogramming was too much for him." God, Roy wanted to wring her neck. This wasn't suppose to happen. Strangely, the panic had yet to settle. There was an eerie calm over him. He just walked up to Kaldur, stared straight into a pair of dead green-grey eyes."Kaldur, it's me," he stated. There was no response.
He took off his mask. He surged forward and hugged Kaldur tightly.
"Kal, say something...please..."
There was a pause. Then a shift in breathing. Finally, a pair of arms wrapped around Roy's shoulders.
"Roy."

I had posted a plot bunny on Live Journal about this!!! Before it happened I think, it had been running through my head long before I decided to post it. But I KNEW that the attack was a possibility!!! When I saw this I was just thinking to myself, "No, they couldn't have done that. It's too obvious!" I looked it up and sure enough, it happened! But not along the exact lines of my plot bunny... at least, it hasn't reached that point. It was a LONG plot bunny that included slash; that no one had interest in. I should start positing my plots on D.A. ...
Anyway, I'm was off of topic from the get-go with this comment. I originally meant to say that this is beautiful!!! RoyKal ties in place with my O.T.P. of ConKal, so I'm still in love with this couple as well. Absolutely lovely!!!
