Description
For Photoshop 7.0 +I think most of the tools are the same in CS and CS2 so it shouldn't be a problem.
Let me know if you have any more questions. <3
**I decided NOT to show how to do the skull overlay, simply because I'd like to preserve some of my technique.. it basically uses all the same tools as I've shown in the tutorial (especially blend modes) so hopefully you can figure it out yourself or just come up with your own unique style.

I agree. I made this years ago when I was first exploring photo editing. Also, it's not supposed to be great, as I didn't want to divulge my "secrets" at the time since I was making money off of them. Anyway, this is my most viewed/favorited piece in all my galleries so I'm glad others seem to disagree with you. If I'm helping people expand their creativity then my mission is accomplished.

hehe nice job. make more and you'll get better each time. also, I like to use stock images of wounds, bones, etc. to blend into the image. gives it a lot more detail. you should try it!

nice tutorial :]
I keep running into a problem though.
when I use the smudge tool it makes the blood have a black kind of shading to it. Like there's this black outline all around the red.
Is it supposed to do that?

No, it shouldn't.
Click on the smudge tool, and at the top in the toolbar where you can change brush size, make sure your settings look like this:
Brush Size: (whatever you want)
Mode: NORMAL
Strength: 50% (that's what I use at least)
and both of the boxes ("Use All Layers" and "Finger Painting") should NOT be checked.
