This is amazing! (I'll have to check where I can buy corn syrup..) A question: Does this work on clothes? As in getting a splatter effect and stains or are the stains too light/piink-ish?

A suggestion: the corn syrup is what makes the blood both harden (and editable) but if you use a liquid laundry detergent as your base for the more liquid/thinner blood it will not only be easier to manage, it washes out of clothes easily. The only thing it didn't is I bought a white t-shirt to test this out and it's a very very very light pink .. like an off-white-pink. But anywho! We use this mixture at our haunted house I work at, and use it to spit blood. xDD;; yes it sounds disgusting, YES it does taste weird in you mouth (DONT SWALLOW) but it makes the BEST effect when drooling or spitting. Plus for one of the best looks on others you take the blood and use a tight-lipped form with your mouth (like you were playing a trumpet or brass instrument) and spit it on others. it works wonders. (yes I may be a little crazy)

A little crazy is okay! Hahaha. I mainly made thes bloods for the purpose that they aren't harmful is digested. But thanks so much for your suggestion! I will definitely have to try the detergent trick with my photo work!

The vaseline blood is fine for awhile. I have forgotten I had some on my face and accidentally wiped it off, haha.
The corn syrup based blood tend to harden a bit and get quite sticky after awhile

ahaha sweet
ive noticed another good way to make fake blood (but only if you just want a little) is you can get one of those little packets of flavoring you put in bottles of water (great value rasberry does best) and just put a little bit of water on it, it looks JUST like blood
it does stain the skin the tiniest bit though
