Description
My artwork for Seismitoad. Seismitoad is one of a few PokΓ©mon I seem to have difficulty drawing, so I was really glad I was able to get this sketch to turn out right. I'm very pleased with how it turned out.Edit (2013) - Updated the permissions watermark to reflect the most accurate wording. When using this art, there's no need to ask permission - all I ask is that credit is given if possible. Thanks.
Enjoy.

Seismitoad: easy the most underwhelming of all the water/ground types....it's a physical attacker but it doesnt even learn 1 PHYSICAL water move at all...thats pretty pathetic

Either it's trying to give a bro fist and failing or it's trying to grab you're face.

You certainly gave this Pokemon some good style and plenty of muscle by the look of it

As long as you don't use any of my Fakemon and "LEGEND" artwork, and you make sure to credit me for the artwork you use, that's fine with me.

That's great! What kind of brush do you use in order to obtain that effect of light on its fingers?

The same kind of brush I used for the rest of the image - it's just the regular circle brush with a Hardness of 68 with varying opacities.

Coolio! Like the pose you did here! Again, how do you do this stuff without references?!?!

Xous54 In reply to MrNerdling [2012-01-31 03:22:00 +0000 UTC]
The only references I used for this were the back sprite (for those orbs on its back, couldn't remember if there were four or more/less) and the official art (for accuracy of style).
When coming up with a pose I just think up something in my head that I think would look cool, then draw it. There's not much to it.
