Description
My artwork for Zygarde, the Dragon/Ground-Type "Z" Legendary known as the Order Pokémon from Pokémon X and Y. As soon as it was leaked last night I started drawing it. Had this art finished at 3 a.m. last night but could't get back online to upload it. Based on the images I saw, it seems some of the hexagon-shaped "scale" parts glow or sporadically blink white, so I reflected that in the artwork here. I'm kinda pleased with how this turned out.
Enjoy.
Edit: Added the shiny version.

Which ones exactly if I might ask? I've had trouble figuring that out with Xerneas and Yveltal and this puts me back to square one.

It's pretty much the Yggdrasil (World Tree) myth from norse Mythology
Yveltal is based on the unnamed eagle flying around the tree. It is sometime described as being blind (shown on Yveltals light blue eyes)
Xerneas is based on the four deer Dáinn, Dvalinn, Duneyrr and Duraþrór eating on the trees branches
Zygarde seems to be based on the Nidhöggr, a dragon that gnaws at the trees roots, which is shown by its typing: Dragon/Ground. His Name could have gotten Influence from "Midgard = home of humans"
I'm not sure about the names of the main two...

And I think bulbapedia can answer Xerneas and Yveltal's name meaning for you.

I meant the creatures/beings they were based on. Xerneas and Yveltal were introduced early overall so Bulbapedia found out the name meaing quickly

No, this is not Pseudo, this is the third of the Legendary trio for X and Y. This is the Rayquaza, Giratina, or Kyurem of X&Y.

How does Xerneas look anything like Yveltal? The three are based on the myth of Yggdrasil, the World Tree. Which, in Norse Mythology, was protected by a stag (Xerneas), a bird (Yveltal), and a Snake (Zygarde).

I think one user I knew assumed it was gonna be a dragon instead of a snake, he was "half" right considering its half-dragon type. (Which I feel is a little odd seeing its a snake)

There is one dragon with no wings or arms called a Lindwurm, but they still have legs.
Maybe since the Legendaries are based on creatures on the tree of life Yggdrasil in Norse Mythology, Zygarde is based on Nidhogg

From what I understand, we may finally have a second "internal" Trio master on our hands with this guy. It also all-but-confirms the Norse Theory and leads further credence to the Ragnarok Function (as I put it).
AWESOME artwork btw.
