Description
I'm a fan of both Spore and Mass Effect, so... a spoof of both games was inevitable.Tali, Shepard and Jack doing a stroll on Aurum Terra, a backwash planet somewhere in the Galaxy. There they met the local sentient race which opened diplomacy by giving them a pet. Fun times.
Informations from a Geek:::
-Charles Darwin in the background is a featured user-created creature available for download in your own galaxy. the creator is known as "Svndl".
--The orange gremlin is the featured intergalactic villain also known as the Grox. They are found in the center of the galaxy. Kinda like the Collectors. Except they are tyrants, not servants for a bigger species.
---The ant to the left is called a Formunt. My main creation in Spore.
-And now, just because I'm such a huge attention whore, I want you to check on these! -and leave a comment, don't be shy! xpator.deviantart.com/art/Papeβ¦ xpator.deviantart.com/art/Azurβ¦
**edit: I somehow mixed up the words Universe and Galaxy as I wrote this thing. Carl Sagan would be ashamed of me. It's fixed now, so people can stfu about it! (jk)

what, the console command? how do you think I reached the core?

legitimally? no. But I managed to find one of the only ways available at the time. Let's say it's underwhelming, and chuck full of Grox.
I've spent a long time grinding, then found out it was friggin boring. I started using console commands just for shits and giggles and to see what was left to see (because I was already done), then I found the core.
If I ever was a friggin OCD maniac, I would have tried to extinguish the Grox Empire with my Formunts, but it's a tedious task. We're talking about mass terraforming here. You GOT to terraform if you want an easy win against Grox planets. It kills them instantly, and turns the planet into an inhabitable one. Otherwise, running and gunning is the least cost effective plan you could have against them. I wouldn't recommend destroying their planets either, seems kind of counterproductive.
-Oh and Spore Galactic Adventure was a downer. They literally relied 100% on user content to carry their expansion, which sucks balls. 9/10 of their own adventures were pathetic samples or minigames meant for 4 years old.
-...And Darkspore was a disappointment. Seems like anything touched by EA is bound to suck.

don't ask, it was on sale at low price. I'm not much of a superheroes type of guy, either Marvel or DC. I don't care much about that, the game was fun for what it's worth.

TOO MANY BAD COMICS ON THIS GODDAMN PLANET!!!

I know right? D:
On a simpler basis, let's say I'm more fond of stories that have an end somewhere, I can't have that much interest in american comics when basically, each character they make just become some icon they can put wherever they want, and add a Status Quo whenever they feel like it. How many times did each of them superheroes die, anyway?
π: 0 β©: 1
Traheripteryx In reply to XPator [2013-06-08 11:00:54 +0000 UTC]
They don't die... but Wasp from Marvel died... So... the most heros and villians don't die, but only the most... some die...

XPator In reply to Traheripteryx [2013-06-08 14:19:00 +0000 UTC]
only those who don't serve a purpose anymore die. That's why they all come back to life, out of nostalgia I suppose X3
seriously though, I know there are awesome comics on likely and unlikely DC or Marvel characters, I'm not dissing on the whole thing, I'm just not much of a fan. And since most of them have more than a hundred numbers and series and reruns, I just can't grab one and go with it.
It's like watching Lost right in the middle of the show, you just can't get wtf is happening ._.

mine is a race of business. I played it as to respond to hostility by just wiping the whole race out if they just shoot a menace or demand tribute at me. Otherwise, I used to buy and sell spices en mass. Most of the time I bought out their solar system, I was more busy fighting against the Grox to gain control of the center of the Universe. -Then they bonked on the Collectors.
It's been a while since I last played that game. I think everything went downhill when I got my hands on Galactic Adventures. btw, it's not a good expansion. Don't buy it. Maxis just added three or four interesting missions in it, and the rest is just crappy stuff they made to test out the editor. Users don't really have what it takes to make fun adventures either. It's lacking... Or at least it was when I last played the game.

"I was more busy fighting against the Grox to gain control of the center of the Universe."Β
Your wrong there because a universe is millions of galaxys and a galaxy has millions of planets.
Gain control

yes, you are right. Then again, we're talking about the Formunts here. They might as well take control of the universe: they're giant ants.
It's fun to see comments pop up on something I haven't touched upon for years. Your critique is appreciated.

I have that expasion pack and I agree with you. But I still play the game and perhaps if i see your race we can be allies. Which would be funny the, the race of business and the zealot working together.
if there is a spore 2 they should add multi-player to it

XPator In reply to z4e [2012-11-11 23:53:23 +0000 UTC]
yeah, I agree.
Well, if you want to find my race, you just have to look up the Formunt in the search engine of the game. You may find a few versions of them.
Of course I'm not held responsible for any damage if my race ends up being the Ogres of your planet. It happened to me once, just as I tried to add Charles Darwin to my game ._.

I had a fun time just raiding the center of the Universe. Finding where to go to reach it is the biggest challenge.
Hating the Grox is just natural. It's either you hate them and manage to be liked by the other races, or deal with them and get the other races against you. I don't even know what it does to befriend the Grox (which is hard to do).

The better way(But takes ages of grinding, even with console commands) is to just basically pull a Mass Effect 3 Final Battle-style thing against the grox, or at least that was the plan before I somehow managed to get annihilated by aliens in the very final stages of civ stage, GG spore, GG.

In my universe, the Raptors are considered heroes for wiping out 3/4 of the Grox, though, the Raptors just want to be left alone. The Grox made a bad idea of attacking them.

I got stomped once, by Charles Darwin. It was crazy, seeing him squat and grab a creature to munch on it, then aggro my butt for no reason. That's why I put him here, he was actually an Ogre on my planet, as I played as the Formunts.
As to why the Normandy's shooting at him, that's both for fun, and because I actually fired at an Ogre creature once, and he kicked my arse. It goes to show you don't mess with the Kaiju's.

XPator In reply to undeadraposa [2012-02-26 19:11:22 +0000 UTC]
You would have to see what Spore is all about. It's a game about creating aliens and spaceships, and someone created Charles Darwin, who turned out to be an Ogre (a Kaiju, like Godzilla) on my planet.
all in all, when I went to the space travel phase of the game, I stopped on a planet and I got to fight one of those ogres, and got my arse handed to me. nuff said?
