Ricardo Bellver's 1878 masterwork El Ángel Caído (The Fallen Angel) re-imagined as a classic painting, created from a color palette partially borrowed from Alexandre Cabanel's 1847 painting L'Ange déchu (The Fallen Angel).

Though the use of a planetary background qualifies this image as a composite, the image is largely a restoration representing hours of painstaking cleanup using the Patch Tool and Spot Healing Brush, then more hours changing select and overall regions of the image using Camera Raw filters.
