Yes, they are....and all the more so when they're someone else's responsibility on a day-to-day basis.
Our two are grown and one has already left the nest, so, while I love and cherish them and the times when they were babies, I must admit, I'd not quickly volunteer to go through those years again.

Now this "when they're someone else's responsibility on a day-to-day basis" did sound very typical coming from a man!
You know what? Tis true,kids do leave at some point,we expect that to happen,because such is the circle of life.We also expect to hold grandchildren from them when the time comes,and i believe this will be a divine moment when it gets to happen.
Also i believe you WILL love these moments yourself,and you can nag all you want now!

LOL....I really was kidding. Although in our life, we found that my wife was much more in tune with the kids (2 boys) when they were toddlers and elementary school age, and me more when they hit the middle school and above age. I mean I've always loved them, as has my wife, but from the standpoint of "preferred" age, we're sort of split like that...
It was never really a formal thing, but for me, I appreciated finally being able to reason and converse with them when they got to a certain age. It fit my personal / professional style for dealing with folks. My wife, while loving them always, missed the closeness and their needing her always - a thing that must necessarily be reduced if they are to grow into functioning adults.
And you are absolutely correct about the Divine gift. And the fact that we look forward to having grandchildren to spoil.

το μπλοκ ειναι ενα φτηνο χαρτι ακουαρελας no name (και λεγοντας φτηνο εννοω 11Ε οι 60 σελιδες,σε μεγεθος μεγαλυτερο του Α4) απο το art center,οχι ιδιαιτερα βαρυ,120 γρμ αν θυμαμαι καλα.(για μολυβια δλδ οτι πρεπει,για ακουαρελα ομως αμφιβαλλω...)
Tα μολυβια ειναι καινουργια!!!! Πηρα προχτες το σετ των 120 Albrecht Durer faber castell watercolor pencils,και ειναι εξαιρετικα!!!Χρησιμοποιησα ομως και τα derwent που ειχα...
Βασικα αποσο εχω καταλαβει,αυτο που κανει τελικα την διαφορα ειναι οι λεπτομερειες με τα gel pen.Ζωντανευουν πολυ το εργο.Σκεφτεσαι να κανεις χρωματιστα μολυβια?

Κοιτα.Επειδη μιλαω με πολυ κοσμο εδω και ανταλασουμε πληροφοριες για την τεχνικη μας ο καθενας (οτι κανει ο καθενας μας,ακουαρελα/μολυβια/καρβουνο/λαδια τα παντα) και επισης ανταλασουμε και wips που δεν τα ανεβαζουμε ποτε στο site αλλα τα στελνουμε ο ενας στον αλλον με notes κιετσι παντα βλεπουμε και συγκρινουμε την προοδο μας (χωρις να μας βλεπει ολος ο κοσμος εννοω
Και σου ειπα οτι εχεις μια απιστευτη φατσουλα??

Δεν θα συγκρινω την digital διαδικασια με την traditional γτ δεν εχει καμια σχεση το ενα με το αλλο.Ξερω τι κανεις,την εχω ψαξει την gallery σου.
Και να ξερεις οτι προφανως για να εκτιμησεις το ενα πραγμα που εχεις επιλεξει να κανεις, θα πρεπει να εχεις μια ολιστικη εικονα για την τεχνη.Δεν σου λεω να χωθεις στα λαδια και τα ακρυλικα προς Θεου,αλλα λιγος πειραματισμος δεν εβλαψε ποτε κανεναν.
Κιεκει ηθελα να καταληξω εξαλλου.Αν και οποτε αισθανθεις την αναγκη να πειραματιστεις,και μπορω να κανω κατι για να βοηθησω σ'αυτο,μπορεις να υπολογιζεις σε μενα.
