Little prickly wicklies. I've never seen them so white, I'm used to seeing mostly green. The rocks give a wonderful texture and splash of color. Very pretty.

Well, they're leaves that have evolved into spines over time to protect the succulent part of the cactus (which is actually the stem) from predation. There's also less water loss because photosynthesis doesn't take place in the leaves.

great use of colors, and in the uppright hand corner i see enlarged pixels, not like bad pixels in your camera, but ones created by plants, you see em?

I love cactus!! Then are so nice.
When I was little that was the only plant that wouldn't die when I took care of it.
