Jayce is the epitome of a proper rich boy. In school or outside of it, he's formal and polite, with a groomed appearance and hardly ever with a hair out of place. He's a money grabber, and has no qualms about making contacts with influential families for the sake of personal gain. He doesn't seem to consider making friends very important, more interested in making business associates that will help boost his family's financial position. Under his calm exterior however, Jayce is a very by-the-book sort of person. If asked to do anything outside his scope of knowledge, he will refuse to do so until he's done his reading on the topic at hand. Being forced out of his comfort zone results in him getting extremely flustered and nervous, especially where romance is concerned. Amusingly enough, his guard is down in the mornings, and he can get annoyed quickly and rather demanding if you catch him before he's fully awake and in control again.

He doesn't have much of a life outside his education, preferring to study and score the highest over hanging out or being active in sports. In all honesty, he's lacking in multiple aspects in life, though he isn't at all aware of it. He's in love with astronomy and actually enjoys stargazing, but it's not something he'd willingly admit to as he finds it to be an embarrassing passion.

History:

His childhood was privileged. His parents were mid to low wealth citizens who worked their way up the ranks. Jayce grew up in a household that put a lot of weight on academical success, and he accepted the challenge to do the best in all his subjects regardless of his interests. Thanks to this, he turned into a child who valued books over companions, eager to appease his parents and raise his family's status in society. He didn't want to let their efforts go to waste, after all. He was interested in astronomy since a child. His parents noticed, and encouraged him to pursue his interests, but they did use it as a sort of compromise - He would be allowed to purchase equipment he wanted to better study the stars, but he would have to prove to them that he could also keep his grades up.

This sort of upraising lead Jayce to become very study-oriented, and he really hasn't changed much from a child. He was enrolled into Ouran Academy due to the academy's prestigious reputation, and also so Jayce could meet others in the wealthier side of society.
