Description
Someone asked me what Hollyleaf and Breezepelt's relationship was like in my Power of Four AU, and it made me want to draw something for them. In this AU, Hollyleaf is raised by Crowfeather (now Crowstar) and Nightcloud is her surrogate mom. Breezepelt is the kit of Nightcloud's late mate, Mudclaw, who Crowstar claims as his own so that Breezekit won't have to be held responsible for his father's crimes. For more info, you can read the description of this picture:Hollyleaf and Breezepelt have no idea that they aren't biologically related, and have a very close relationship. Hollyleaf is a protective 'big' sister to Breezepelt (who I headcanon as smaller than average). Hollyleaf is an idealistic and outgoing cat, determined to live up to her father's legacy, while Breezepelt is more insecure and defensive, with a bit of small dog cat syndrome. And of course, Hollyleaf isn't above tormenting him when she feels like it. The pose was inspired by this great photo

Nice to see Breezepelt get a good upbringing. It so cool how ironic this all is - Is that if that without each other, they'd probably become the murderers they are in the canon. This is why I often prefer AUs over the canon!

Agreed, I find I prefer AUs over canon about 80% of the time. I didn't think about it at first, but the idea that they're both kind of morally corrupt in canon, but are a good balance to each other in this universe is really interesting. I wasn't even going for that, but I guess that's just where they naturally fall.

Lol, this is hilarious! I love when sibling relationships are like this! Reminds me of my relationship with my teenage brother who is younger than me, but a lot taller, so he likes to squash me every chance he gets. XD
Now I really want to draw a version of this with two of my OCs who are siblings. but I have homework to do first... and owed art... frick.
