Personality: Auklet has had a lot to live up to in her life. One of the last dragonets of the late King Gill, final heir to Queen Coral, and younger sister to Tsunami - a dragonet of destiny and savior of Pyrrhia - and Anemone – a rare royal animus. Auklet grew up being told stories of the heroic feats of her elder sisters, with hope that she too would aspire to do great things. Instead, it made her feel like she would never measure up and would inevitably end up disappointing everyone. This has led her to be an insecure, socially anxious dragon who would much rather fade into the background than be the center of attention. She doesn’t think she’s particularly good at anything, but hasn’t allowed this to make her cold or resentful towards others. Quite the opposite, Auklet is one of the kindest, gentlest, and most thoughtful dragons you could ever meet. She’s always well-intentioned, doesn’t have it in her to hold a grudge, and always seems to see the good in everyone. She has a warm, generous spirit, and can make the dragons around her feel good just with her sheer presence. She is dearly loved by her friends and family, and her chief flaw is just that she needs to learn to love herself.

Accessories: Gold jewelry with orange sapphires (yes, they do exist), including cuffs on both his horns, a pendant, and three tail bands. The tail bands can be rather cumbersome, but he wears them to make a point. “So I didn’t crawl out with sapphires wrapped around my tail? Screw you, Grandma!”

Personality: The best description for Cliff would be a lovable pain in the ass. He’s loud, overconfident, brash, and generally doesn’t know when to shut up. He doesn’t really grasp the idea of subtlety, and tends to express his emotions in the biggest, most over the top way possible. He’s honest to a fault, never one to trick or manipulate, but sometimes prone to being hurtful without meaning to. You’ll always know exactly what Cliff is thinking, even if you don’t want to. However, this also means that he expresses love, support, and approval just as strongly, and you’ll never have a more enthusiastic dragon in your corner with Cliff as a friend. It can be hard for Cliff to read others’ emotions, and this leads to him being somewhat unempathetic and self-centered just through sheer obliviousness. Cliff doesn’t have a cruel bone in his body, but can accidently hurt someone’s feelings without meaning to just by saying the wrong thing. He’s very confident in his abilities (mainly as a singer) and feels most at home being the center of attention. His major insecurity comes from the fact that he has tied so much of his self-worth and identity into his status as a prince. He seems to think that the only reason dragons like him is because of this, so he tends to feel like he needs to overcompensate and constantly remind people of his title in order to maintain their approval of him. He seems to know every dragon at Jade Mountain Academy, and will try to flirt with anything with a pulse, but has few really close friends. Those he does make a true connection with he is fiercely loyal to, and his love and devotion for them is unmatched by most other dragons in Pyrrhia. Once Cliff has really let you into his heart, then that connection can never be broken, and he would go to the ends of the earth for you without ever asking for anything in return.

Finally we have the last (for now at least) part of the 'main cast' refs. Auklet and Cliff got some slight color tweaking, and Cliff lost his earrings and one tail band, just to declutter the design. Winter doesn't actually appear in Revenant outside of maybe a brief cameo, but I didn't have anyone else to put there, so I just figured I'd stick him in. For Qibli's design I basically said 'screw canon', as I've never liked the way he looked on the cover of Darkness of Dragons. It's just not how I pictured him at all. The design just seemed kind of bland, weirdly proportioned, and really smooth and unmarked for a character who, by all accounts, should be pretty scarred up. So I channeled the design I had pictured in my head when first reading about the character, and am actually really happy with how he looks here. Qibli has a torn frill, and no one can convince me otherwise.
