. Hoffentlich gefΓ€hlt es dir. Es ist nicht meine Beste, aber tja... >>; hab's versucht!Cascades of energy swirls and streams thanks to the Chaos Emeralds. The net result? Chaos Cascade XD That's why they're able to float within time and space.
Had massive plans for a fire-ridden city, but Wraith clashed with the reds and the oranges *smacks him on the nose*
Once again, sorry it ain't my best Rachel. You did deserve a gift for a long time so remember it's the thought that counts

Glad that looks like a city to you! It looks really manky without the greens. I totally messed up on it and tried to cover it up with all the special effects *gets 
XD Now that you mention, Wraith DOES look like he's about to throw that Emerald at Airlight... and REALLY hard at that XD. It would be very much 'in character' for him to do that
That makes sense too... 'Chaos cascade' being a failed attempt at 'Chaos control'. Darn, like them ideas you got there! I suppose it would be the clash of their Emeralds, and now Wraith is all ticked off cos he can't Chaos control but is stuck floating around XD

I dunno why, just today I was drawing him and My kitty Wraith :3 they look so cute hahah. Then I drew him in my version of Hedgehogs O__o. Maybe I'll post them when there done, and possebly colour

This looks so freaking-uber-cool! 
Ich denke, daΓ wir zu beide unsere eigenen Leute (Wraith und Airlight) in unsere Abbildungen zu legen gewohnt erhalten haben! 
But just wow.. to start off, the whole pic just looks incredible right smax there! Especially the unique way you've chosen to CG this in a solid lineless style! - well there are lines but I'm calling this lineless because this seems so slick and thin xD! - but geebuz Kate! You pulled it off in a smooth, vectored fashion like that, and how the colors are balanced in gradient and hue.. I could never pull something like that off! 
Wow, you've made Air looks stunning there! You've drawn Air perfectly in accuracy..and those glasses make me stare in awe with those vegetable soup colors! *smax'd*(Its a good thing btw XD) The highlights and clothing folds are real significant on him/her, and it makes Air look splendid!I just adore those hands x>. Also seems kinda in a curious expression towards Wraith there =0.
Wraith on the other hand looks fierce and defensive quite, and I think his colors are really suitable for this scene! The lilacs and blue s are just superbly pulled off there and his backwards pose has action >8D.. As always, I love his boots and his gloves cause they have such a unique design!
They both look kinda suspended there or floating with those poses while they're clutching their chaos emeralds. It's really neat how they have the outerglow right there as well to blend styles with the BG >8)...their poses are also very unique and it just seems there!.. and the chaos emeralds! Man! You always do those so good with your great selection of colors and shines!

Now what I really find interesting is the enviroment they're positioned in! It seems so fantasical mixed with hints of sci-fi there.. with those bright and dazzling glows and lights! I love the strung out waves of the aurora path they're currently stepping about on and the glows fading over the border just makes this look even cooler siding with additional strings of wavy lights in the sky!!

Glad you approve of the technique here. What with vectors and what not. I never really know what to do in terms of employing techniques o_O. Aww come on! I bet you could do it, better even. But you don't need to. Your style is like, SO much better. Ha ha! 
Vegetable soup colours on AIr's glasses? 
This is the third time I have drawn Wraith and Air and I agree, there always seems to be that Antagonistic and agonistic aspect about them. ANd it makes THAT so much fun!!!

Ah! Forgot to mention something!
It appears as though you have changed the pattern on Wraith's primary side-quills. A nice piece of experimentation there, i really like it! it looks as though there is a remnant of his old template there that is being covered up by what seems like an icy layer. Very fitting for him because it can be interpreted as a visualisation of defiance on his part, wanting to cover up his past of being part of something that ruled out his own individuality. Yeah, the more i think about it the more that i think that little change there suits his story that you created for him!

oh wow! there are so many highlights in this that i can't pick out any one as a favourite, must i really choose one?
Well, for starters that is some very sleek and neat linework, the fluid character poses are highly complimented. The characters themselves are very well drawn.
Airlight looks very determined, and to me appears to be portrayed as the 'hero' character of the piece, being coloured so brightly and given an almost defensive pose. Wraith looks deliciously menacing as always with his spines up in a hostile manner, blending well with his pose which also appears to be more aggressive than Airlight's. Wraith's dark colours also suggest more of a 'villain's' role in this scenario. The wonderful contrast between Wraith and Airlight is most definitely one of the most well presented things in this piece! I can't help but dart my eyes constantly between the two of them as i look at this piece!
The concept of 'Chaos Cascade' not only has a catchy name, (the combination of those two 'C' words leaves a brilliant little percussion in one's mind), but the portrayal of such an idea has been brilliantly done. I almost wanna somehow be able to join those two somehow along those streams of brilliant energy, flying on them looks like fun!
That background is still an enigma to me, i can't figure out how Katzila managed to spot so much! Although i can't make out exactly what is on the other side apart from some buildings and stars, and such, i still like the background a LOT. Looking for all of the 'hidden' effects amongst the already mind-boggling glowies is part of the fun here! I really love it when there is art that involves taking a good look to see everything, it makes the art more engaging and makes you feel like you are really there witnessing whatever is being depicted, in this case the epic confrontation between Airlight and Wraith.
I'm still baffled as to how you went about making those lines! Was it in Illustrator? Also I have no idea how you do all of those wonderful Photoshop effects Kate, do you mind if i ask for some help sometime? i know you're pretty busy.
I could go on and on but it's currently 3:25AM and i thought i'd browse DA because i can't sleep
Airlight will surely love this fantastic gift.

Glad you like the sleek and 'neat' artwork. Lol! I've never had a description like that before- as I am usually known to be quite a sloppy person. lol! So there's hope then to get some neatness in certain patches of what I do... erm... *has lost the plot*. Well thanks for that! It's nice to be told I'm neat, whatever it is I do XD

Like what you thought of that 'Ice retraction' shoe thing you described in that giftart you did for me of Wraith, that was a spontaneous idea... as I didn't really know how else to describe the swirls and the 'enigma of a bg'. XD Hmmm... maybe this will be one to exercise for the RP's one day! 
I have no idea how Katzila spotted all those things either. I have top be honest, the bg looks minging without the screeny cover up. I hate to admit it, but all those special effects were to cover up the 'hopeless' bg. Oh well! It's not the first time I've deviated to 'Plan B' on pics. Well, not that I'm good on initiating 'Plan A' in the first place >>;
Nope! I used Ps7 for the lines! I think William asked me a similiar question regarding that before. Note me with your ques on Photoshop 7 and I'll be happy to tell you! Don't want to give it away here though

Sloppy? perhaps some of your work has appeared that way, but in reality that work has not been sloppy at all, rather it has been created in your 'soft' yet strangely harsh shading style. it's difficult for me to describe, but your art has always had a 'neat' feel to it despite how many wonderful effects you have placed onto a single piece. i hope i made sense there because it's hard for me to describe what i am trying to say o__o

Awesome Lonely
The pic is very clean and beautiful! i love their poses and background. Stars is shiny and colours is cool and unique, Air and Wraith looks very cute there whit shiny emeralds, angry and floating everywhere. Very good drawed of clothes and shoes... Shooes *steals them, hugs and puts them back*..sorreh.. XD.... Looks like that they are looking the emerald each other and trying to take them away... The City looks awesome, when first i saw this pic... i tought in the background was looking "destroying the cities", "the city is floating in planet" or another thing is, "The city is trasnforming to water"... i see The moon, its amazing!

Spaced Out Y'all! XD I dont know why..but I really like the title for this. I guess the y'all kinda made me laugh XD
You did a really great job making this look all space like and with Wraith and Air flying with all those cool beams of lights going everywhere, its just too cool. The poses go really good with this. I really like how Wraith is doing that cool jumping thing, but hes in space so he will just easily float back. To me, Air looks like he/shes skating on the beams...seriously they remind me of ice and you skate on ice, and with the way he/she is positioned. Man, I have the weirdest thoughts..XD ...but its all cool and I love it. I love how you made them both holding the emeralds and looking at each other..its cool (C'mon Amanda! You know you can make better words than that!!! Durrh!) XD Sorry for the lack of words Im giving...Cool is all I can think of right now. My mind making comments arent the same as they use to be ..)= But hey...Im trying right? At least I got off my lazy butt and DID comment XDD
Oooo I forgot to talk about the spacey background and all. Would that happen to be a building in the distance? I see little green squares there windows to that blue/black thing back there. Who knows XD. The sky is really beautiful, and I love how you made the stars here and there. I see a moon back there and its gorgeous. I also see a rock (?) and some brick building thing on the right bottom..dunno though...like you said something about city in the description..maybe that has something to do with it? The beams of lights catch your eyes and its hard for you to look at something else because there everywhere! [= They are just too cool. ...And last thing...your coloring rocks.
