NOTE: Glad you ppl like this picture. However, kindly stfu regarding the Orb/Talisman name that Spyro is holding. I'll call it a pink flamingo if I want to.Really, how bored are you?!? It's a picture to be looked at, of Spyro, holding what I want to and will call... a Talisman. Who says I have to follow things 100%. I gave Spyro yellow eyes for starters FFS.

This is Spyro the dragon, from the playstation series.
This scene is taken from my favourite level in Spyro 2. There is some sort of Lava level where you fly around a 'Mount doom' sort of level, and spit these stones at these annoying demons or something.
Here he is now. Except the twist here is that our hero is looking edgy... literally. And he is holding a talisman. These items you collected in Spyro 2.
No heavy criticisms please. None of the '
' emoticon and don't bloody well go for the obvious 'Cool, I like the fire'. Just, it seems so stupid people always seem to comment on the special FX. Perhaps elaborate and use your brain ¬_¬

Im glad you didn't put this in your scraps...I mean this beautiful piece of art wouldn't survive in there. Ya gotta give yourself more credit because art like this is amazing. Spyro looks so adorable the way you got him staring down into the fire with that worry look on his face. He does look worry though, maybe he stole that orb from some big scary monster thing and he's just waiting for him to come. Aww but man, you drew Spyro so great. His pose is fantastic, I love the way he's sitting down and holding the orb up high. BTW..the orb is fantastically done, drawn and colored. I love how you made it dark at the bottom and you made it shiny, its so beautiful. Its more cool by the way you added the greenish shines on his hands. I love his wings and that little yellow/orange spiky thing on his head. It matches so greatly with the whole background and the fire like wings are just too great for words. I seriously don't know what to say about them besides their wonderful. I mean they are! The whole lava/volcano bg is too good, The dark patches on the red in the back look so realistic and like a real volcano. All the detail in the lava and fire on the bottom is splendid. Ah jeez, I don't know what else to say about this fantastic piece of art besides superb job. Wonderful work Kate. ^^

I'm a R&C fan myself. I wanna draw the two one day. I think Ratchet will be very hard to draw... not sure how I;m gonna get those Lombax characteristics.
Fahrenheit? Uhm... I guess I am just random with titles X). But Fahrenheit, being a unit for temperature (US version I think), I thought might be appropriate considering the uuuuber hot theme here.

Marvelous work, Kate. 
First off, Spyro's drawn superbly. His pose and expression are fantastic and seem to suit the picture extremely well.
The colouring is absolutely fantastic. The tones are used superbly and fit in very well and the areas of shadow and light are done so superbly. Spyro looks full of life!
The background looks superb as well and the variety of tones and colours of reds, oranges and yellows are amazing and paint the scene very well and make it definitely look treacherous and dangerous. The heat flare coming upwards from the bottom is great as well and adds to the picture a lot. In all it's a very good piece of work... how long did it take you?

I... I absolutely love this. Actually, the only Spyro game I've ever played was Spyro 2 (just a demo) and yet I loved it. I love Spyro's expression, and the amount of detail overall. You know what?

I agree! Spyro is amazing... he deserves so much more.
That's one of the reasons he looks anxious, lol. You know, basically in the games when Sparx dissappears, that's the last of your energy lifeline? I will most probably draw him next time though. I am enjoying drawing Spyro like he hasn't been touched on that much here and yet there are a sound number of fans (;. I wouldn't have expected merely 2 people to know who he was when I first started on the scrap.

The background is good, but the skies could be more contrasting- darker and maybe with some white or yellow? But the actual rocks are fantastic! They look incredible. Same for the magma/lava.

In any case, the pose was okayish to do... surprisingly enough. Sometimes when you just draw spontaneously, these things can sometimes come naturally.
Indeed, the glow was rushed. I was fearing conflicting colours and such what with all the reds. Guess I didn't fool you on the effort in that one... 
I actually agree... perhaps some contrast in the sky could have been a good incorporation *makes note for next time*

Hey woah! The highlights are really trippy, and the shading overall has some pure edge too it, even if there's no outline, it looks really smooth and sharp, really well pulled off there! THe firey effects are also rather explosive.. and I love the vivid blend of colors on spyro and the talisman, really makes him stand out even if the colour purple is close to red. X)
I love this piece! Just wonderful, bright, and colorful.!

Glad it has edge and such and I'm glad the firey effects look explosive and that is an interesting point you made on the Talisman. Truth be spoken, didn't want the green to clash with all the other somewhat 'loud colours'. lol! XD
Sorry I aint been on chat much! x_x been jetlagged, sleep depriven and felt slightly queesy and stuff. But we must RP again and we must think of a collab or something. I know quite a bit more with PS7 then I formerly knew when we started that other one so maybe we can get something interesting going there..

Perhaps I have become a little neurotic and particular in terms of comments XD . It was the way I interperated it some prospects such as people only talking about the bg or special fx I do and it makes me think 'is that all I am good at? Should I just do a picture of a landscape next time?'
Yeah, maybe I'll try and loosen up a bit. I admire the people out there who do take this all with a pinch of salt...
