Description
Why should we expect them to be? We are all human, capable of doing both good and bad.I personally judge a person all these things if they do indeed show them. I don't judge them just because they are atheist. And those of you who do that, you need to chill out and shape up.

Do you think it might be because more people are religious than non-religious? I mean, it IS a little awkward living in the U.S. as an Atheist or Agnostic... trust me. People usually aren't the most accepting towards Atheists and such in the first place either- so that's probably why so many of us have developed a bitter, defensive attitude. Animosity was bound to happen- Just thinking lol.

Actually you'd be surprised how many people aren't religious. I think it's changed how many people have a faith, I only know a rare few who have any type of belief (who aren't atheists) or at least in America. Or maybe I just get lucky and I meet a ton of Atheists xD A lot of people aren't accepting of things that aren't the norm, but while it's very disheartening and annoying, it shouldn't make you get bitter or defensive about it. I guess that's just human nature in the end though

Yes.
I am religious, and I've had a really good atheist friend. I think she knew I was religious, but didn't bother. Well, maybe she didn't know, in that case I don't know how she'd react, but she was a great friend. She even stood for me when I was unfairly banned from a topic and the ban really hurt me..
Though she apparently had issues with the staff because she got forum-muted often and then got a perma ban.. But I am certainly sure it had nothing to do with religion.

Thank you for this and all the sister stamps. <3 Years ago I got banned from a group I participated on for admitting I was a christian, and trying to explain to someone not all Christians believe in certain bigot ideas that many try to fly the flag of their faith to justify. I also tried to explain it happens the other way. I should have known better but I was young, stupid and it was on another account. I know the same happens the other way around where Christians treat atheists as immoral or "bad people". Silly that someone with a belief founded on the idea that we are all imperfect would go around judging but oh well...anyways you did what I couldn't with a few stamps. Sorry for my rant. Again thank you!

Some people just really want you to know what they beleive in...or don't.
Anyways, thank you for making this stamp it speaks the truth.

Unfortunately, EVERY athiest I have ever encountered was hateful about God. They are constantly spouting about there being no God, calling Him "your god" or "the invisible man in the sky". How can I not generalize when every single one of them go out of their way to force their anti-God views down my throat everytime they open their mouths? Sometimes the shoe is on the other foot.

"Unfortunately, EVERY athiest I have ever encountered was hateful about God." Hopefully you find comfort in that I'm a nihilist, not an atheist.
"They are constantly spouting about there being no God, calling Him "your god" or "the invisible man in the sky" I don't agree with the invisible man crap, but they say there is no God because there is no proof of any deity.

"Somebody who's never experienced true love, can say it doesn't exists." Huh, interesting. I've known couples married for decades, still with true love in their hearts, and they still don't believe in it.
"Also, prove me that the moon exists when I turn away from it." We took rocks and dust from it, we have documented evidence in the form of pictures, videos, testimony and rocks/dust taken directly from the moon. When you turn away from it, I can just show you those. Unlike a deity, there is proof to support the existence of the moon.

If they truly love the person they are with, then they have to believe it. It's like I'd say I don't believe someone can love animals, even though I am one of people who do (And no, I do NOT mean anything sexual when I say 'love!)
Good. I can show you God's deeds - look at the sunsets, look at some amazing animals, everything amazing you can see in the world that was not created by humans. So, it's 1:1 so far.
Since I can kind of see what your next argument would be, prove me that all these things you mentioned really do belong to the moon.

Ask-War In reply to LovePikaNizzy [2012-07-21 07:21:27 +0000 UTC]
"If they truly love the person they are with, then they have to believe it. " What exactly do you think they have to believe in?
"Good. I can show you God's deeds - look at the sunsets, look at some amazing animals, everything amazing you can see in the world that was not created by humans." There is no proof that God, or any deity for that matter, created any of that.
"Since I can kind of see what your next argument would be, prove me that all these things you mentioned really do belong to the moon." There are videos made by NASA and other organizations the Soviet Space Program, Russian Federal Space Agency, the Chinese space program etc. of their astronauts either obtaining said evidence, or recording anything they came across, the moon included. All in all, there is far more evidence for the moon than any deity. If I am wrong, then you have to prove me wrong.

1. How can you truly love someone without believing in true love? Than you don't believe you truly love someone as well, and true love is kind of your decision, so if you don't believe you truly love someone, then you don't.
2. Exactly why I asked the previous question about the Moon. You might also want to prove me that a bear's footprints really do belong to a bear.
Also.. there is no prof it was created by God you say.. but is there anything that proves the opposite?
3. Prove me that these videos are not taken on some really rocky terrain, and prove me that the space, rockets, that things astrounauts wear etc. weren't just digitally added in by someone who's good at special effects in movies and videospots. Prove me that their records weren't just made up.

" How can you truly love someone without believing in true love? " Ah I was under the impression you were refferening God or some other deity. I've seen arguments like that, saying you can't know love without knowing God.
" Exactly why I asked the previous question about the Moon. You might also want to prove me that a bear's footprints really do belong to a bear. " Watch an area of ground where there are no foot prints. When a bear walks over said ground, foot prints are left behind.
"Also.. there is no prof it was created by God you say.. but is there anything that proves the opposite?" Nope. So far there are theories, no proof to actually back any of them up. Before claiming that the big bang happened, or that a deity created it, you should be able to prove your stance, wouldn't you agree?
". Prove me that these videos are not taken on some really rocky terrain, and prove me that the space, rockets, that things astrounauts wear etc. weren't just digitally added in by someone who's good at special effects in movies and videospots. Prove me that their records weren't just made up." You will have to get in touch with the respective organizations for some of that information. However, those suits are on display in various museums. You can't display digital suits in museums. As for props, we use similar suits in HazMat, and they were based on the astronaut suits' schematics. People actually watched the rockets take off, so we know those are real as well. Space is real because people and satellites have gone into it. If it was not real, then we couldn't use cell phones, internet, satellite guided artillery etc. The rocks were video recorded as being picked up off the moon.
If you think any of it is fake, then you should be able to prove your accusations.

LovePikaNizzy In reply to Ask-War [2012-07-23 08:51:37 +0000 UTC]
Footprints will not be left if the ground is hard enough.
So basically, atheists believe just like we do, except they believe in the opposite, and none has good enough proof.
Well, didn't you see my point? You can give me any proof you want, but if I refuse to believe it then I won't. If nothing else, I can say these people were well paid to say they saw the rockets, that everything is part of an evil organization and these suits were never really on the moon, but someone made them so they could have proof they are real by using the same suits on their videos.
God is present, but you won't see him if you refuse to believe in him, just like the sun may shine but you won't see it if you go inside and pull curtains on all windows.

Personally, I know only one or two who aren't that big on criticizing God and all that stuff.
Yeah, I will say that majority of atheists I have encountered are quite big on sharing their viewpoints on God, in quite a passionate manner as you have described. As far as meeting atheists/agnostics who are nice and even love me as any friend, I know a few, and I gotta say that I'm am thankful all the same to have them <3
All I can say is don't give up, I still have hope that I could probably find more people like the one's I have found, after praying and praying my heart out and going out of my way to search for them.

I hope you're right. I guess it just seems like more of an inconvenience for an athiest to actively avoid acknowledging God in any way, shape, or form. What does an athiest say when you sneeze? Or how about when shocked about something (normally provoking an "Oh my God!")? Know what I mean? They act like saying the word God might hurt them.
