"Whoa, you’re on a roll, your boyfriend or your boss?"

She scoffed and poured the liquid down her throat.

"It’s a little more complicated but somewhat similar…"

She stopped right there, telling some stranger about the horrors she went through was not a way to go. It was like the young woman had gone on a trip into her own mind.

Just as she was about to get lost in there, she heard it, that familiar voice, one she hadn’t heard in a while:

"I’ll have what she’s having."

The bartender went to fetch the agent’s drink , that’s when Leon started addressing her directly:

"So how’ve you been, Claire?"

"How’d you find m-? oh wait, let me guess, Chris used his connections, tracked me down and sent you to babysit?"

Leon simply chuckled : "Yup that’s basically it."

By the time he finished his sentence the drink was in front of him, he took the glass and lifted it close to his nose. Leon pulled back as soon as the drink was inches from his nose, it was quite strong, but that didn’t stop him from chugging a big gulp.

He’s had these days, they all have, but they came out the other side, that was his goal here, to get Claire through the dark tunnel, not push her out of it.

"You don’t have to do that, you know, sit with me and tell me that there’s a light at the end of the tunnel and all that…that’s my job, that’s what I do whenever Chris is off to some weird foreign place getting wasted and passing out in some filthy bar"

"It happened more than once I take it?" he asked as he took another sip of his drink "You took a page out of his book this time I see."

Claire looked at him, wide eyed, realization dawning on her. She’s exactly in the same state her brother is often in, but she never saw it that way…Not until now.

"I’m not going to push you to do anything, or lecture you, or tell you that ‘there’s a light at the end of the tunnel’" ,He paused, quoting her, taking a breath, carefully planning his words. "But I am going to tell you this: No matter how much of that shit you chug down, it’ll never be enough, no matter what you do or use, it’ll never make you un-see the horrors you went through…"

By the time he finished his sentence, Claire was crying quietly, Leon simply gave her a reassuring smile and put his hand on her shoulder.

"Then how the hell do you get through it?" ,Claire choked out her question, the memories replaying in her brain over and over again.

"You have to remember that you came out on the other side." The agent replied while smiling, eyes fixed on her face and hand gripping her shoulder tightly.

Claire abruptly came closer and wrapped her hands around him, all he could do was hold her and kiss the top of her head.

"Now, C’mon, let’s get you home".

I've had this little story and the .blend file on my hard drive for quite a while,I'm glad I got around to finishing the render.
