I would like to say that, as with most of my drawings, I made this one up as I went, hence the random-ish steps. Also, by NO means is this the only way to draw a chibi. It's just one of the gazillion million ways. And hey, here's the finished version [link] !Anyways, I hope this helps a little bit for those of you who are trying to figure out that one "glitch" in your chibi drawing style that you can't quite figure out how to fix, and are looking for different how-to-draws to see how other people do it. That's really the only reason I made this, other than pure boredom.

My scanner isn't working, but I'm actually buying myself a tablet on friday (YAY!) so I'll be able to redo it on there.

This helps me to draw the head, but I still can't figure out where to put hair.... :/

I'm glad to have helped! (well, with one style of chibi-drawing, anyways).
I actually sneakily left this one bald because I intended to make a separate hair tutorial once I could help with that, and then never got around to it. D'oh. But basically, if you just want to know WHERE to put the hair, vision the head you're drawing like this: eyes are halfway up the head or lower (depending on how you want your character to look), then the hairline (or where you would start drawing bangs and such) is just a little bit above that - maybe a quarter of the distance between the eyes and the top of the head. This any help? Hard to explain without providing a visual. Sorry about that.
