Never's birth name was Thaleia, named this by her mother based on the Greek myth of the three Graces - her sisters' names also based on this. The three Graces were named "Aglaia", "Thaleia", and "Euphrosynê".
Birth name pronounced "Thah-lay-ah", meaning "blossoming, luxuriant"

Rank: Apprentice

Sold to a sailor at a young age, Never has had no experience in fighting or hunting. She was placed in the rank of apprentice because of this, even though her age tells otherwise. Though embarrassed by having to sleep in the apprentices' den with cats less than half her age, Never is hardworking and determined to finish her training as soon as possible to rise up to the rank of gladiator.

Being quiet and being shy are two different things, and Never is quiet. Voice projection is not on her side, and she often mumbles because of it. She tends to use slang, such as not properly pronouncing the 'g's at the end of words. Her lack of confidence is possibly her biggest flaw, and she prefers not to speak to avoid revealing vulnerable feelings to others, and also because, frankly, she is scared of being judged for the things she says. When she speaks, it is quick, quiet, - sometimes polite - and to the point.

Never will not avoid speaking her mind when she does speak. She won't render her words to be less hurtful as well. She doesn't take any rubbish from anyone, and she won't try to muster up some extra reverence in the presence of those in higher rank. Though most she says is polite, Never can be very disrespectful when she wants to be.

Possibly because of her previous solitary life, Never prefers to keep to herself most of the time. Though she is happy to have girly chats about crushes and exchanging thoughts on other members of the Empire, anything about her past is a no-go-zone. She enjoys her own company and can often be found walking by herself. She is very opinionated - to others' surprise - but doesn't always feel the need to share, and sometimes she prefers not to.

Never tends to come off as being soft-spoken, though her words can cut deep - just in small volume. Cross her personal bubble or get on her nerves and she'll let you know. Her personal space is very important to her, and she can be particularly harsh toward males. She can take a joke with other females, but she avoids interaction with males. Never can come off as being stand-offish and is very compassionate toward those she loves.

Backstory

Oceans. As far as her wide, blue/green eyes could see from every direction. Just endless, peaceful water. It was all the small cub knew since she and her sister were sold to the trader whom she now considered somewhat a father figure. The young Thaleia remembered little of her other siblings and parents, but she knew no different than the hard planks below her paws so it didn't bother her beyond wonder. She had her sister and that satisfied her. The only memory she had of her mother was the name she was given, which she rather liked. Her owner called her and her sister by other names but they considered themselves Thaleia and Euphrosynê.

Life was very scheduled; she'd watch strange cats being loaded on the ship and off when they reached a certain destination, where more would be forced onboard again. She would always approach the occasional new feline who looked around her age and less frightening than the others and she found their stories very interesting. Stories of life beyond the boat, stories of battles, coliseums, escapes, Empires, bounty hunters and many different things. When she mustered up enough courage to approach an older cat - which she would usually drag Euphrosynê along to as well - she found that they would have even more stories to tell. Some of them were even real bounty hunters who had fought in the coliseum! These hunters were what intrigued her most, until one day. Pending the rest...

Entry 01"My dear sister. It wasn't long ago that we were separated, after... after our owner died and all. We were taken back to the coliseum, and then she was sold to a band of filthy felines who went around bringing pain to the wild cats in the Empires. At the time, I thought the Empires were just stories, a vain hope to cling to if a cat was to escape and disappear in the wilderness. I had a different fate than Euphrosynê. I was placed in the position of a Coliseum fighter, if I was to be brought that low. I was grouped with the mindless machines that thought themselves cats, but I clung to my sanity for long enough to escape. What I cared about most was torn away from me. I never knew my father, I was ripped away from my mother at birth, my owner is no longer alive, and now I'll never see my sister again unless she was here to take my life. I've tried to forget it all, though. I changed my name, since my name was the last connection to my mother, and the Empires will never know me as Thaleia, which will avoid the possible contact with Euphrosynê, if she's even alive, that is. I miss her, so much, but I don't want to face what she could have become. I will always love her though."
