Description
"The panthera aquatica is an elusive and endangered species thriving in pure streams of water in remote forests. Its body is almost entirely liquid while occasionally some driftwood or soil and other detritus might get absorbed and made a part of it. How its body functions or stays together is entirely unknown, as all specimens lose all cohesion and "melt" upon extraction. That is, unless the animal manages to escape which is the more likely option, as it can just dissolve in the water to flee from any captors."
This drawing took pretty long, not only because it was pretty new and difficult to draw, but because university has been incredibly hectic for the past months. It has been quite a feat to fit any drawing time in the schedule, so apologies for lack of uploads.
All in all I'm very proud of how it turned out. I needed to do quite a bit of research before even starting but it definitely did pay off.

This is fantastic! Water can be such a beast to draw or paint. It's amazing how real it feels, like you could almost plunge your hand right into the creature. (It wouldn't be a good idea, of course, but you could try it. Once.)

Thank you! It definitely wasn't the easiest project I've done. I needed to do quite a bit of research before even starting the project. Gald to hear I managed to pull it off though!

This is absolutely beautiful and easily one of the best I've came across this past week.
I can see a lot of love, passion and thoughts you've put into this artwork, great job. This artworl is so inspiring to me, and hopefully to others as well.

That is amazing! Man you need to start doing tutorial videos or something, heck start a Patreon. Like that's so flipping impressive and I'm jealous as heck ( in a good way though ).

At one point I did do speed paint videos, but they add a layer of complication to the whole drawing process and the footage takes up so much space. Not to mention the editing software, but I bet there are some decent free alternatives.
I haven't given any thought to patreon, but who knows, maybe at some point :^3. I definitely need to look into it eventually, but thanks for suggestion!
Also, thanks a lot for the comment!

That's understandable and no problem your artwork is so good
Also, don't worry about trying to post art constantly. Your art is great and is worth the wait!

Man every time you upload you somehow manage to improve upon your previous drawing, in one way or another. I donβt know how you do it, but Iβm really happy for you.
Thereβs a ton of depth in the cat, which I really like. The blurred background adds a ton to the fidelity of the water thatβs in focus (plus it saved you from having to detail the leaves :^) )
The wooden bits are a great choice too, they bring the whole cat together, making it seem a lot more sturdy than if it was entirely made of water.
But even having said all that, by far the best part of this whole piece are the way you drew the reflections inside the cat. It truly shows that youβve dedicated a lot of time to figuring out how light bounces around and gets refracted.Β
Itβs an awe-inspiring drawing and you should be super proud of yourself!
Also, donβt worry about not getting to draw much, I feel like everyone would agree that you shouldnβt harm yourself by trying to draw with next to no free time. :3

Thank you so much! I really appreciate the in-depth comment, as always!
Yeah, suffice to say I really did lots of preplanning and studying, inspecting my water bottle and looking up zero gravity water videos on youtube :^). I'm so glad to hear that it paid off :3
Also, thank you for suggesting the blur in the first place! It really helps bring the cat to focus (and also save time on the trees).
But yeah, thanks for the comment best boi
