Description
So, since I'm a sucker for romance, I just had to get this mod for my Skyrim game. It's called Skyrim Romance and here's the link to their website: skyrimromance.com/On their website they had a drawing challenge to show their main character Bishop in a family scene with the Dragonborn, hence this pic.
A little background story on everything that's going on in the picture...
* The black wolf is Bishop's loyal Karnwyr.
* The fox is one he gives to the Dragonborn when they get married > and she names her (it's a female fox) Muffin. (I name all my pets as either Muffin or Poppet. It's a thing.)
* Their baby is a girl and nicknamed as Sweetpea.
* The Dragonborn is a Nord (mage) called Nenni but she got really fed up with all the blue-eyed-blonde jokes so she dyed her hair red with a complicated potion she created herself using nothing less than Briar Hearts... and Bishop is only too happy to provide his wife with more Briar Hearts... and Cael ain't too happy about that.
Done on my trusty ClipStudioPaint Pro with some ready foliage brushes (for the background).
Skyrim belongs to Bethesda

and a bard
and they were all dancing ...
And then I stopped playing haha

I've crashed my Skyrim too many times to remember due to an overload of mods...! And I've had to start over again from the very beginning after installing other mods that have required a fresh start to work...
Skyrim is awesome but I do miss the variety of npc interaction from Dragon Age games. This particular mod (the Skyrim Romance) has something akin to that interaction, hence me downloading it. I don't usually take extra follower mods simply because there are already so many in-game to choose from. I'm already getting at times the endless loading screens because of my environmental and texture mods, plus all the immersive armours and whatnot...
Just today I witnessed as my two housecarls began fighting over a dropped item and one ended killing the other... Dammit. Reload.

Really? You like Lydia??? She's the one that I hate the most in the game! The number of times she's pushed me into a trap or off a cliff are too numerable to remember!!! She has no understanding of personal space whatsoever! I always ditch her the moment I get another follower, mainly Argis, he's my favourite (even married him in one of my playthroughs but got tired of him calling me constantly as Thane and not as his spouse). So, next time around my character went for Vilkas from the Companions, and he's nice when he calls the Dragonborn-wife as "love" or "dear"...

well... I guess I prefer girls
I like her voice, her irony, she's faithful .... oooh hehehe
Lydia <3
lol
I was playing a mage and she was my tank, very useful
I was only sitting behind her with the heal other spell and let her do the job

I always play a mage. I'm stuck with magic. In every game I play, I'm a mage (except Dragon Age Origins, there I played a rogue simply because their rogue skills make sense to me and are easy to use). So yes, I too need tanks, and Argis is by far the best tank in all of Skyrim, and unlike Lydia, he has never pushed me into traps or off cliffs... there must be something different in his scripting.

haha maybe
I installed a mode that makes followers avoid traps, and makes them walk by your side and not behind you
It made everything easier
But yeah, before that, she used to activate the spike door trap, and as I'm a mage I got instant killed
sigh

Ugh, hate the spike doors...! Now I've leveled up my sneak so I don't trigger any of the pressure plates, simply walk over them, and then I hear my followers groan behind me as they all get smashed to pulp either by the spikes, by fire or that hanging bludgeon-thingie that falls on everyones' heads!

Wonderful picture! I have to agree with y'all about the scadzillion mods and the sometimes annoying-as-all-hell behaviors of followers/npcs; that's why my usual archer/ranger/sneak type characters tend to work alone as much as possible. Like you, I also feel like the npc spouses don't have enough unique dialogues/behaviors, so I tried out Bishop; gotta say I'm torn between some of his "interesting" comments and Vilkas' "sweet at home, all business on the road" attitude.

Yes, Vilkas is "the man". No way around it. The only thing about his dialog that still sort of bugs me is when he gets hit by my mage's magic and he says "Watch it there, sister!" Sure, I know he's referring to her as his shield sister, but still, if he's married to my mage, it still sounds a bit uncomfortable in my ears...

Holy cheese and crackers, yes! I've had him yell the same thing at me when I've had to use my close-quarters fighting techniques (short sword) and he decided at just that moment to go all Terminator and rush our enemies just as I'm swinging. Vilkas, I love ya, but watch where you're going lol! I did manage to find a mod on the Nexus that adds/changes some dialogue for followers (Relationship Dialogue Overhaul), so we'll see what happens now. Maybe Vilkas will actually act "normal", though I admit his whole intense focus thing is kind of sweet at times, like he takes his "job" of protecting his spouse while they're travelling the dangerous land of Skyrim extremely seriously.

when I got serana as a follower I was so mad, she gets one shot by the spike door, but I can't heal her as she's a vampire
So she keep dragging herself behind me at snail speed till she meets an opponent she can life steal on ....
oh god ...

Good grief, Serana was CREEPY as a follower! She re-animated all sorts of creepy enemies from falmer nightstalkers to mudcrabs to sabrecats to chaurus to cows...! Aftern battling against enemies there's still one standing beside me > only it's Serana's re-animated corpse!!! So confusing and annoying!
