Unexpected events keep popping up during this battle! Flashlight would've loved a low-paced match, but Beau's Mean look thinks otherwise. Rather than lure and zap, Flashlight went straight in with a Water gun! Beau isn't amused by it, and now the little Chinchou regrets everything. Although blown away by a powerful Astonish, she's able to send a Supersonic Beau's way.

That's a familiar trick for the Pumpkaboo, so she replies with her own version: Confuse ray. Slowly losing ground, Flashlight retreats into the water. Beau's not stupid - she won't be lured into the water by her opponent's green lights! Instead, she fires her Confuse ray and it's a direct hit. Or so she thought. Yet when she turns around, the evolved Flashlight steals the show! Despite whipping up a Whirlpool, the Lanturn's not escaping Beau's gaze.

And then - the Confuse ray finally strikes! Flashlight has no idea what she's doing when she drowns everything in the huge Whirlpool. Great, Beau's finally hit her opponent, but has she thought of the consequences? The Lanturn goes for a Discharge in her confusion, electrocuting everything nearby. With Beau soaked and zapped, and Flashlight fainted from fatigue, the battle comes to its end.
