Don't know why but I always thought that Canterlot is a castle of Celestia. It is white as well as she is, it have style more similar with Celestia than with Luna.Plus Celestia is an elder sister, and therefore she is the main (in my opinion anyway)
So I thought - What if Luna also want Own Castle?
Something what will fits her style. She also a Monarch, as well as Celestia is, and so I think she has all rights to claim on own castle))
Every Princess deserves own castle! X)
Also, while I colored this picture I thought about what if Luna will show this picture to her sister, how Celly will react on it?
I hope She will undestand all coretly and luna will get her own separate castle without war for independence^^
This is how civil wars begin.........

Interisting idea about castles. But what for she need own castle? I don't see Lune as sompony, who would like own castle just for pleasure. Also I never considered Canterlot as a castle of Celestia, however huge building wouldn't fit Luna's domain imo. Any why would they live separatly, since they both rule Equestria?

That's cute. And it's true that Canterlot castle is more Celestia's castle that Lunas. (at least when you think the castle in the show, in the movie (and School daze) it was more like their combination from the inside at least.) Luna does deserve her own castle but I also start to think would she be lonely in there when Celestia isn't around? (Tho she might also enjou her time without Celestia) Could they build a seperate wing for Luna in Canterlot castle?
