Don't know why but I always thought that Canterlot is a castle of Celestia. It is white as well as she is, it have style more similar with Celestia than with Luna.Plus Celestia is an elder sister, and therefore she is the main (in my opinion anyway)
So I thought - What if Luna also want Own Castle?
Something what will fits her style. She also a Monarch, as well as Celestia is, and so I think she has all rights to claim on own castle))
Every Princess deserves own castle! X)
Also, while I colored this picture I thought about what if Luna will show this picture to her sister, how Celly will react on it?
I hope She will undestand all coretly and luna will get her own separate castle without war for independence^^
This is how civil wars begin.........

Oh. I read Owl Castle at first. Could be a decent name for the castle although it doesn't really fit Luna maybe?

Problem is when someone would like to visit Luna and Celestia and had only little time. She already has castle in Canterlot.

I love Princess Luna being so proud and happy as she puts the final touches on her masterpiece. Of course you gave her a fantastically beautiful landscape to start with, and especially nice with final lights of sunset and big honkin' crescent moon for nice warm highlights; silvery clouds are just perfect for the Princess of the Night to include too. Of course Luna looks pretty fantastic herself, so pretty with the excitement in her pose, her giddiness showing there as much as that beautiful, big-eyed smile. Bangs are cute, as is hanging her crown up for a little neck relief as she has to move back and forth. Great spot to work from too, such nice vegetation and a place to hang the lanterns from; fireflies and crepuscular* butterflies adding a bit more liveliness to the sweet atmosphere too.
Her painting looks wonderful too, and I really like that you put in the canvas texture – and in correct perspective too. She has a great imagination for what she wants in her visually-darker version of the capital, with plenty of flair, plus it's even more charming that she envisions a lively little village on the mountainside as well. Thanks for so many layers of loveliness.
