#1These are done with a plain old, cheapo, medium-tip marker and I spend less than 1 minute on each hand, without any sketching or planning going into them. Just doing it freehand straight onto the page for practice. I might do all 244.

This is a good tutorial:
I'd recommend looking through some of the tutorials on DevArt as well to find one that 'clicks' with you. Some people understand hands better by getting the skeletal structure, and others by breaking the hand up into manageable shapes. I don't really have enough experience myself to make a tutorial.
