It’s Usopp! I’d meant to do a picture of this character for about a month, now. Usopp is my favorite member of the Straw Hat Pirates, his name being a portmanteau of Aesop and usotsuki, (嘘吐き) the Japanese word for ‘liar’; despite being weak and cowardly, he always lets his conviction overcome his fear of mortal danger in the end, and is able to win fights by thinking tactically and bluffing. A lot. Making shit up is basically his special skill, so he’d be a great hero for one of the old point-and-click adventure games like Grim Fandango.Related content

I got a question, did you give premission for someone to re-upload this image? Maybe to use as an ID?
Its posted like new art, though person does give credit to you, even hasa link to you. They titled it as 'new ID' while I understand getting permission from artist to use image as icon and/or ID, but not re- uploading it as art.
Does DA not allow us to use image as ID unless its uploaded as art on our profile? If thats the case and you gave permission then that makes sense.

Awesome pose for our beloved Sniper King! I like how you chose to use a cliff descending into space rather than just flat piece of land. It gives the picture a lot more depth that way. Great job!

I love him so much! I think it's the most natural character that Eiichiro Oda created. It is as if he had gathered all the most human feelings that a person can have, fear, anger, doubt, etc. ... And that he had put in one person. Usopp is the only one to have all these feelings, and that's why, for me, it has an edge over the others emotionally.

Hehe... I guess that's probably why I like him the most out of the Straw Hats. His insecurity makes him seem more realistic than characters like Luffy, who just charge fearlessly through life. XD

Yeh, Usopp has his own charm and fans. The shit he mades up is sometimes damn hilarious. But he is one of the fews who kinda acts like a normal human in a trouble.
I'm really liking how you pullet out the shandin on this piece of work. I really like many shade of greens you got in there. And how warm those greens are. The only thing which bothers me are the trees at the cliff. You should either make em more big or smaller to get a better perspective. They look quite odd behind those huge leafs.

I wanted to make the terrain pretty flat and just cut it off after the farthest tree, though I'm sure the lack of contrast doesn't help to push it farther back from the big monstera leaves. Those stupid things took forever to draw....

He does pull some pretty horrible faces, but his funny face also makes me laugh, so it sort of balances out. He can be pretty tragic.
