Description
The Louisville & Nashville Railroad ran it's first train in 1855! It was the South's first railroad and grew to be a major transportation power. During the American Civil, control of the L&N was a determining factor in the outcome of the war. After the war the railroad expanded throughout the South. The road saw it's first diesel locomotive and dropped it's last fire in 1957. By 1969, the L&N, "Old Reliable" had over 6,500 miles of track in 13 states! Seaboard Coastline Railroad would eventually purchased the L&N and in 1982 the L&N was officially merged into Seaboard Coastline Industries. Four years later Seaboard merged with Chessie Systems to form CSX Transportation. This was requested by Hunter 1828 [link]

E Hunter Harrison who was Hired by CSX in Feb 2017 but died Suddenly in Dec 2017. He supposed to change and improve operation Performance andΒ ratio but instead clogged up everything , shutdown hump yards across their system, Sold mostly half their locomotive fleet, layoff employees and now they talking about selling 8,00o miles of their rail lines.

So that explains why CSX is so engrained in the south.

She looks familiar. Nice job again. I'd kind of like to see one for Santa Fe, what with my route to work blocked for half an hour on a daily basis by one of their coal trains if I'm running late. For the sake of my job, I love that train.

Thanks! That's next on the hit parade! I like watching train, so I never mind waiting. Luckily my trip to work runs parallel with the Norfolk Southern on the old Pennsylvania Railroad's Conemaugh Division and I never have to cross it, but almost every morning I see one of those log coal drags and sometimes like this morning, there is a BNSF locomotive to add some bright color to the dreary B&W NS trains.

Cool. The whole train-and road thing in Denver didn't get planned right, so the main non-freeway N/S street gets crossed just after rush hour, while some people are still in need of it. Keeps me on time, though, because if I'm not late, it's not in the way.
One of my favorite restaurants is in a converted train station. Rumors have been flying of adding a passenger platform back on. I'd love that. Then I could hop a train for pizza. Anyway, you can sit and eat fantastic food, with trains going by every 20 minutes or so, from BNSF, Santa Fe, and some line which I don't recognize and only goes by at night when it's not readable. Never seen any Amtrak through there, though.

Thanks! I'm still confused about this whole print thing here on DA. A calendar would be cool. Have you ever done one?

Cool! how has that worked for you? My biggest concern is over control of the image. Have you seen any of the DA prints? Sorry for all the questions, but Like I said, I confused about the whole print process here on DA.

so far it's worked out ok. as far as control, you don't really have much unless you buy the premium print account. if you have one of those you can control the the mark up for each of your pieces.
i have yet to see any of the prints. i wonder about the quality sometimes because they are taking the high res jpegs or pngs that we up load and printing those instead of getting print ready files directly from us.
i just have basic account and i have sold 3 prints already. the only downside as far as i can tell is that whenever you do sell a piece, they never let you know. i just noticed one day while looking at my prints that i had sold 3. i looked to see who bought them so i could go and thank them but i couldn't find that info either. also, until you earn a certain amount (probably in th print faq) they won't send you a check.
i would definitely read up on the print faq before i made a decision. i just set up an account on a whim and didn't really think i would sell that much. you on the other hand have just they type of work that i think would kill! so i would set up a premium account and learn all i could. it would probably be worth it!
best of luck!
