I thought that the absurdity of the elements we had to choose from required a comical approach, and I thought a good old slapstick comedy situation would work well here, with a classic prison break attempt.Things seemed to go pretty well, oh but was it an unfortunate miscalculation, or was it intentional on Panda's part that our heros' tunnel to freedom led up to the kitchen?
Oh yeah, and if anyone wonders, this all digitally painted, no photomanipulation. All done with Photoshop and wacom tablet.

Having just watched Shawshank Redemption last night, this loses some of the humor for me. |D;;

Well, Panda and Chimp are trying to escape the prison by digging a tunnel, though they end up in the prison's kitchen. Panda sees a pie and can't resist the fruity dessert, and fails to notice that they have been caught by the gards.

I'd thought they were miners because of the hats.. the clothes never struck me as being prisoner's clothing. And I didn't notice that they were digging...

I can't get over just how real the animals look in this! I've tried so hard to get a realistic looking tiger face, then finally gave up and decided to find my own style of drawing. This is so clever and realistic, well done and congrats on your DD!
