I saw this on the front page and immediately thought "Wow...that's an amazing photograph..." opened it, and while waiting for the picture to load saw "oil on canvas" and was severely confused until the picture loaded, and then understood that it was an amazing painting instead.

I'm a bit rusty on my Egyptian mythology, but is this Isis and Osiris or maybe Horus? Or is it not based off of any myth? Very intriguing.......

Wow, I was sure that this was a manipulated photo until I saw you stated your medium. This is absolutely atounding... it's so realistic and has such a great atmosphere about it.

Astoundingly beautiful. I love the metallic sheen to her covering, necklace, and headdress, as well as the way you managed to have the male arm pop out of the second dimension and into realism. Wonderful job, and a DD well-earned!

Why Horus, just out of curiosity?

I don't know much about Egyptian gods and their mythology, honestly. I made some research, read descriptions, and I don't remember why exactly, but Horus seemed like the right choice; he had the look I was looking for and the personnality to go with it. Not really any deep explanation to it, it's more a matter of "feeling". That goes for most my paintings. I don't rationnalize them so much, I just go with how I feel about it.
