A few days ago I found a great wallpaper [link] by klops05.
PS CS3 and some plugin filters helped me to make it a good bootscreen resource. So, this is the result. I hope, you'll like it. You need to have TuneUp Utilities installed (*.tbs file) to apply it.

Unfortunately, I have already deleted most of the resource PSD files. 
btw, my (quite tiny) screen resolution is 1024x768 as well

Its good, but again XP has a limitation to restrict the boot screen colors to 16 bit is what I hate. lol
