This oddly comforting and creepy, I have a fear of dolls. I have never seen art of this phenomena, it's pretty cool you're so comfortable with it.
It took me around 26 years to finally get that it was sleep paralysis that I had. This with my crippling fear of the dark and my love for horror, but it's much better now. Only 2 times a year now! XD As some had mentioned it helps to sleep with the lights and tv on.Β

Uuuuuuugh I have sleep paralysis too and I usually see the shadows in my rooms growing tentacles and I actually FEEL SAID TENTACLES CARESSING MY FACE AND I CANT MOVE also there was one time with a weird care bear sitting on my library and it was shouting obscenities at my books for some reason

I've experienced something similar to sleep paralysis. I used to get stuck in complete darkness without sound and I couldn't feel anything besides cold.It stopped when I was thirteen or so(thirty now).

This used to happen to my brother when he was younger. I don't know if it happens anymore, but he rarely talks about things that really scare him. TT_TT I'm sorry this happens to you....I can remember him crying a few times because of it, because he said he couldn't breath and things were crawling on him. Hope it's nothing that's to terrifying for you D:

I got rid of my sleep paralysis by sleeping with the light on, and always having TV/Netflix playing, even if it's really quiet.Β
On a related note; that doll reminds me of Cynthia, from Rugrats.

Ah I can't sleep in that environment. I need complete darkness and silence. Sleep paralysis doesn't really bother me; the only thing I don't like about it is that it disturbs my sleep

Oh man. I wish I wasn't so bothered by it like you! It's a terror for me. lol Very traumatizing for me when I was a kid too. I don't think it's as bad now that I'm an adult, and I know what's happening, but sleeping with a small light was an easy price to pay to keep the monsters at bay for me.

Oh, it was terrifying my first time! But I was around 18 at the time so it wasn't as bad as it could have been had I been a kid like you! I totally thought I was haunted, haha. But I grew up in what was believed to be a haunted house anyway so it was just like another addition to the stories, I guess XD
