Description
(All of my jail stories can be found in the Number 979 folder Β in my gallery)
Upon arrest, a rope was tied around my waist with handcuffs attached to it. However, I only wore the handcuffs when I had to walk to the bathroom (and the rope is attached to my escort). Most of the time I was tied and cuffed to the chair in a comfortable way that I hardly even noticed it.
My arrest happened at 3:30 am but there was a lot of cataloguing (of my belongings), biometrics, and paperwork to do before interrogation, plus we had to wait for Police Chief Yamada to come in.
Before my interrogation the Chief noticed it was 7 am and told them to get me a breakfast bento before we begin. They also let me have a lunch break and I was given a lunch bento as well.
I could drink all the green tea I want. Even in the middle of interrogation I could stop them and tell them I was out of tea and I would get a refill Β Luckily I could also go to the bathroom as much as I wanted, ahaha.
I liked the cop who was assigned to watch me while I ate. He seemed kind of shy, though.

Maybe they needed people to take care of the foodstock they still had, or els next year the budget would be decreased...

Nah, the bentos were bought from the bento shop down the street.

Usually their very harsh.

Haha well this picture is of my lunch break, not the interrogation. But yeah, the interrogation wasn't that bad either!
But I guess my interrogation was fun because I didn't really commit any crimes. I'm sure it's much different for someone who really did something bad.

I wonder who's leading the interrogation ... Doesn't seem like it's the policeman .

I wish American cops were like this for non violent arrests or suspicion I mean Goddamn. Being treated like you will kill anyone at any second it's scary getting arrested here.

Yeah, I've seen the news. But seems like they only do that to people who aren't white.

Yeah but I've heard some horrible stories if you're a woman basically if you aren't a white man you better be afraid of your police force. I haven't had any bad experiences so either I am really lucky or it is just in some places that you have to worry but the fact that they can do this makes me nervous rather it's me or not I don't want to see the people who are supposed to protect us and keep the peace doing this at the drop of a hat.

All seems a bit much, were you that intimidating to them?

yapi In reply to Kitmit [2015-12-08 17:04:44 +0000 UTC]
I wasn't being intimidating at all. I was being very polite and cooperative, and I smiled a lot
One of the people at the station told me that it's how it's done by the book (though the meal conversations were probably a bit unusual for them, but it was too awkward for me to just eat in silence while someone stares at me).

Yeah, well more like a thick nylon cord. It's tied around my waist and then my escort will strap it to his belt.
Or when they're transporting several prisoners at once, the cord is threaded through our handcuffs so that we're all connected. Japanese handcuffs have a chain that allows a cord to be threaded through:Β www.biwa.ne.jp/~nkz8240/P025.jβ¦

Tch, everything has it's catch.Β But wait, say that if you had family, friends, or your employerΒ who noticed that you were gone for a while and they asked the police for help, would the police tell them that you have been incarceraed if they ask?

yapi In reply to Kei-Waza [2015-12-22 19:17:21 +0000 UTC]
I don't think so. Before I was officially arrested, I was first put in the squad car and brought to the police station for questioning. I was able to sneakily snap a picture inside the car and upload it on Facebook telling everyone I being taken in. And of course, hours passed and no one heard from me so my friends started panicking. A friend of mine called every police station in my ward in an attempt to find me. Every place she called told her that they can't give her any information, and even if they did have me they wouldn't tell her.

I see. . . I do believe that is what is what we call in the industry, a "DICK MOVE".
Though as a former "Rental Cop" myself (Security guard) I understand the need to follow strict and sometimes illogical guidelines and rules. . .
But that's still a dick move. Of ALL the people who should tell the family and or friendsΒ the whereabouts of a person reported missing, it should be at least the guys who had arrested them.
