Sometimes Meiles just likes to sit, relax, and let Yari help him detangle his hair while he listens to her talk. It is easier for her to do with her smaller fingers ^_^But uh... Yari? Learn to suck in your tummy :T
Just thought I'd practice (sort of) lineless painting again! I actually have three major influences for this picture. The main one was this picture from Grave of the Fireflies. I didn't want a gold palette though, so I picked up the overall colors from this lovely picture from Getty Images.
And also an overall inspiration from *io9 's beautfiul painting style

Oh, Yapi. This is truly one of my favorites. Your painting is beautifully done, and I am totally floored by the expressions on their faces, and the overall gentle feel of this piece. I think this is going to be my favorite picture of them. It's so sweet. I know Meiles has a tough exterior, but I think it really brings out the more gentler moments between them.
