Description Sometimes Meiles just likes to sit, relax, and let Yari help him detangle his hair while he listens to her talk. It is easier for her to do with her smaller fingers ^_^

But uh... Yari? Learn to suck in your tummy :T

Just thought I'd practice (sort of) lineless painting again! I actually have three major influences for this picture. The main one was this picture from Grave of the Fireflies. I didn't want a gold palette though, so I picked up the overall colors from this lovely picture from Getty Images.

And also an overall inspiration from *io9 's beautfiul painting style

Out of curiousity, when you say "lineless painting" do you do a base sketch first? I know it's a stupid question, but I have no exp with using programs or my computer to draw, I'm used to the old paper and pencils/paint/ect to draw and I won't be able to get one of those nice drawing tablets till July or so. So do you do it similarly to how [link] did his? I know you said you got inspiration from him, so I was just wondering. It is a great piece of art btw with the lighting the way it is, it almost looks like Yari is a troll with that skin tone, least on my screen

I don't know exactly how *io9 does hers (she's a 'she', btw ^^). But she posts WIP's of her work on her Tumblr and I made a few guesses as to how her process might be, and worked accordingly, while also using my own techniques that I'm comfortable with

I love the softness of this image, and the sweetness. They're so obviously just enjoying each other's company and relaxing, and the color palette really sets the mood.

Oh man. This is one of my favorites out of your work so far. I really love the colors and lighting in this, as well as their expressions and just the overall feel sdkjhkghfd. It's always nice to see a bit of a softer side to Meiles, just a reminder that he's not a complete asshole. Haha.
