Self-portrait (with a few pounds off, hahaha!). Vanity. Wheee.I just got a copy of Painter 8 (thanks Carlo, if you're visiting!), and since I have never touched that program before, but am hoping to use it on this commission I have right now, I thought I'd do a test run on an old drawing.
Those who saw me at the C3 con might remember this outfit. I drew it during that day (and I always draw myself wearing whatever I'm wearing) and tossed it aside.
Definitely could use some improvement, but I think I basically got the gist of it... I hope
I hope I don't bomb that commission, hahaha!

Hehe, my solution to the lagpas problem is that I do the flats first in photoshop, then I do the freehand shading on Painter, with the transparent pixels locked, para walang lagpas

Adorable~~ I tried Painter last night but I couldn't figure it out. T__T Is it all right if I ask you questions from time to time (like how to smudge - I can't find the smudger, and I keep accidentally smudging the line art itself)?

I think you can use the blenders to smudge.. Namely the "oily" blenders. As for smudging the line art, maybe make a new layer for the smudged color?
(what I can't figure out is that for some reason, digital watercolor seems to like ignoring the fact that you asked that the layer preserves the transparent pixels... hm. bastardo.)

Isa siya dun sa mga mediums, kasama ng watercolor, acrylic, etc.. Yung icon, mukha siyang yung paper nib na ginagamit mo pang-smudge ng charcoal pencil.
