13,000 BC Late Fall
A lone female North American Saber-Toothed Cat (Smilodon fatalis) wanders through the forest. This small patch of woodland in southern Illinois surrounds the grassland that other animals reside in. She sniffs the air, her nostrils inhaling the scent of any quarry that reside in this section of her territory.
