Torvosaurus tanneri

Among the largest of all theropods that existed in the Morrison. Torvosaurus is often overlooked with legendary creatures like Allosaurus or Ceratosaurus taking the spotlight. Nonetheless, this was a fierce predator. In fact, the very name "Torvosaurus" actually means fierce/savage lizard. It's closely related to the first theropod ever found, Megalosaurus from the UK. However, it was bigger, more robust, and known from more complete remains.
On average, it reached around 33 feet in length, though fragmentary finds have shown individuals can reach length of up to 36-39 feet.

Prowling the conifer forests and vast scrubland of the American West over 150,000,000 years ago. It hunted a variety of prey from juvenile sauropods to Stegosaurus would have been on the menu for this carnivore. It competed with other large predators like Allosaurus and Saurophaganax in its region. All 3 predators occupying the niche of the massive, robust predator taking down Sauropods, Stegosaurs and large ornithopods in a similar aspect to lions of the African Savannah.

Okay, this is an animal already featured in Past Meets Present, but wanted to showcase it nonetheless. I modified Tyranachu's Torvo with a simple color-palette swap. I just felt Dinosaur Revolution's skin was a bit too over the top, which, I get that dinosaurs probably weren't dull or bland, but still, DR always seemed overly edgy to me. Plus, the environment was different. DR was on the Jurassic coastland of Portugal, PMP is set in the Morrison on fern prairies and redwood forests.

The size is between the avg. (33ft) and the largest fragmentary specimen dubbed "Edmarka rex", but I think 39 feet is a bit too liberal so I downsized it by 3 feet.
