Funny!
I made the same picture in 2003! I like the black&white version!
Better than my picture!
Good job!

Excellent composition. The human figure serves as reference and break-even point in the photo.

Hi Juliene,
This is beautiful, but the location of the figure is too predictable (IMHO).
The image would be much more interesting with the figure partialy obscured by the columns, or walking latteraly (at a 90 degree angle to the right or left). I would love to see as she just turns left at the end!

Hi yori!
Yeah, I hesitated for darkening the background wall, but this would have led to the fusion of the pants of the figure.... disturbing the contrast between light and shadow
This may would have been strange having columns finshing in dark without a progressive deacrese of the light on them.
Thanks for passing by!

Hi Juliene,
I didn't explain myself well - my main point is about the timing: I think the shot would have been better with the person in a different position, partialy obscured physicaly by the columns, not blending into the wall due to color sameness.
There seems to be a left turn at the end, and when the person just reaches it would have been better timing (IMHO).

Ok, I get your point! Shame, I didn't really thought about the position at that moment, I had to catch him from behind, so I just took two shots, none of them with a profile silhouette.
Anyway, good idea, I'll keep in mind for next pictures

It tricks me so. x3 I have the urge to tilt my head, following the pillars, but I can't. It seems strange since the human figure changes the whole idea... somewhat.
Love the photo.

Fantastic composition and lighting. The way that the pillars and the wall frame the subject is excellent and the exposure is spot-on too. Another great piece!
