Description
It was a seriously 'grey' day yesterday. In the end, I popped over to Abington Park & re-shot this image. This time I did 4 shots, 2 rows of 2 & merged then in CS5

here in Switzerland I somehow miss the pretty colours...everything is brownish and maybe a little bit yellow. I remembered last autumn to be way more red and orange

Yes..it's the same here totally.
Actually told me why this autumn is so lacking reds...it's because the year has been too dry, overall. We haven't had enough rain for autumn to become red & orange

lovely shot.
The low angle and use of square composition works well.
Great work!

Thank you indeed, as you know, there are leaves everywhere. Don't really know if I achieved a better shot by doing the merging thing

I personally think the shot works, it would been great if there was more colour within the leaves such as red. But there hasnt been a wide variety of colour due to a dry year

But..oh my god, is that why we haven't got much red any where?..you know that?..I'll be be calling you Alan Titchmarsh next

If you have a damp autumn you get the best colour, and leaves stay on trees longer. Due to dry summer and autumn means that leaves have fallen quicker and with less colour.
Well some of the useless information i know and i used to work in a garden centre

This isn't my best shot ever, light was so bad I needed a 6 seconder...meant a blur of the leaves...but the colours needed me to upload it...they begged me
