DuuUUUuuude!!! That's one gnarly, epic lookin Anubis my dude! Love everything about it!! I wouldn't want to catch that one when its ticked, hungry, or in general crossing my path or when im in its sights. Hopefully it's friendly... Lol. Have a great rest of your day. I hope to see more of your artwork in the future. You're doing great!

This is fucking amazing. Hands down, sickest Anubis picture I've ever seen.

I love Anubis. This is the best art I've seen of him so far.

I love it; the face and the hands are my favorite part of this picture. The fur around his neck is great, though I think the fur on his legs almost look too choppy to me. The lighting is very nice, and I love the touches of sand around the coffin. Very nice picture!

The textures all look realistic to my, admittedly untrained, eyes. The imagery of the piece is certainly a novelty as well. He isn't the same Anubis the Egyptians worshiped and loved, nor is he a like any modern icon... this is wholly the artist's creation.
His skeletal face and horns stand out the most to me and clearly associate him with death, as does the setting. The shaggy fur and clawed feet reminds me a bit of a werewolf which, for another piece might be a criticism but not here... It makes him look dangerous and feral. He wears the ankh like a weapon and sits for more like an impatient warrior than a king or god. His muscles and structure, also remind me more of a fighter. I've seen bulkier men, but his body looks more tuned for killing then theirs... put simply, he looks very dangerous.
If I had to criticize the piece I'd say I didn't like the plume of feathers on his shoulders. All I can think about when I see it is how hot it must be in that kind of weather. It's also the least Egyptian part of him and clashes with the rest of the outfit and the theme of the piece, as far as I can tell.
Overall, he doesn't look like Anubis to me, but I don't much care. I still want to hear his story and I can't quite tear my eyes away.

brilliant colors and textures. beautiful work (: the sarcophagus looks good, the background is lacking a bit though. maybe some hieroglyphics on the walls. Egyptian tombs were filled with them. other than that really stunning (:

You're most welcome (: There are no mistakes. It's a wonderful piece with a lot of detail in itself, well thought out and executed. I only added that because of your request. In itself it's beautiful work already (:

wow - I love the texture of the fur - the face is stunning with the bone and glwoing eyes. I also love the jewerly and the draping of the clothing - the pose of Anubis is also nicely done. Anubis is the god of death/the embalmer and of the afterlife - this artwork conveys that!

I should be thanking you! For allowing my eyes to take it in The amount of detail in this piece is just crazy. I can almost feel the sand thats piling up. Really incredible stuff as far as all the work you put into defining and really showing all of the different textures and surfaces. Mindblowing I can't imagine even trying to draw/paint something this beautiful. Keep up the great work!
