If you are not aware, Charlott-A has proposed a speculative challenge throughout this month of September ( www.deviantart.com/charlott-a/… ). It will consist of you creating speculative creatures, as it is said in the challenge. I've drawn mines, from days 7-9.

These creatures consist of a future environment, 10 million years from now, in California.

1. Cryptic creature based off a prehistoric animal (Andrias americana): An unusual cryptid has been known from the Trinity Alps of Northern California of what seems to be a giant salamander, simillar to those known to be found in Holocene China and Japan. These giant salamanders have been found in many parts of the world, but little was known that previously considered extinct american giant salamanders existed in the Holocene. This is the last survivor of the giant salamanders from the genus Andrias and its survives in the secluded water courses of California, 10 million years in the future.

2. Futuristic environment (California, USA, 10 myf): After the Holocene extinction event, humans have left a mark on the planet. Now they are no longer here, but it forced animals to find new ways to survive. Apart from Andrias americana, we have godwit descendants, such as the quite colourful Solavis texanus, a common charadriiform. Possibly one of the most fantastic Earth creatures of this ecosystem is the Piscatorius guillermoi, a parrot that has evolved a preference for hunting and fishing freshwater animals. Here it is seen snatching a type of garter snake, Colonophis presto.

3. Alien life form ("Macrophthalmus bulbus"): Never in the history of the planet Earth, an alien interstellar civilization has visited us. Quite after human civilizations fell into oblivion, a culture of alien creatures sets up to explore the amazing world of the planet Earth, as they register all of its unique characteristics, both as a planet and as a refuge for the amazing plethora of life it harbours. These aliens possess a large armoured serrated tube, that contains the neocortex which then connects its huge bulbous eyes, which also connect two titanic ganglia, that together, form an advanced brain. It possesses two clawed arms and then two tentacled flexible fleshy arms behind them, for prehensility. Two pairs of arachnid-like legs helps the beast walk. The joining of two completely unknown forms of life together could have been more chaotic, in this case it forms in a quite soft and heartwarming way. The alien does not display hostility to the local lifeforms, but just like anything, this could change... just like that.
