Ep.13: Deadly Odds

The sibling group that Alek belonged never was big. Alek was hanging out with just three of his siblings, one male and one female that have survived. That is against the odds already, most of the times only one Anzu chick survives until subadult stage. In anyways, most likely the surviving male won't follow Alek till adulthood... and most certainly not this female, that died during the night after an encounter with a Dakotaraptor. The morning reveals the disembowelment that unfolded. The result: a dead immature dinosaur, being feasted by a Didelphodon padanicus, the largest mammal in the region, which manages to be a perfect opportunist. Alek knows that company is in short supply, and soon, Alek will be all by himself, before it becomes an adult. He also knows, he cannot stay too long around here, or he will be facing the raptor again.
