Description
Taken 12-03-05, Roxborough State Park, CO. The fresh snow was so peaceful! The storm brought about 5 inches to the park.Related content

The minute I saw this, I thought of Colorado.
Where is Roxborough? This kinda looks like it'd be near Castle Rock, or something.

Amazing shot, I like how the background is just enough in focus, so that you can see that the tectonic faulting that created the formation in the forground continues on in the mountain in the background.
Well done.

Love the contrast between the red rocks and the white snow. I prefer this over the other two where you combined red stone and snow, because I like the shapes better.

The jagged rocks sticking out of the ground remind me of mars. Not that i've been there or anything...

Sometimes I forget how many otherworldly scenes there are like this in Co. I guess one upside of being away for so long is that defamiliarization brings new wonder at what I once took for granted...
Beautiful photo, as always.

It's gorgeous. I like the four distinct parts of this one - the very foreground of the bushes, the focus of the stones, the background of mountains, and the even more distant sky. All with different textures and the different ways the snow lays on the them (or from them, in the case of the sky!).
