I really liked this lineart so I coloured it in 8D I love the origionality of it
I surprised myself with my colouring XD Normally I'd be sorta sloppy but I did pretty good considering I was pretty much doing it in the dark XD

Shadow:*nods*Im able to rest abit while I keep swimming. I will probably do that for a while. Just wake me up if something happens.

Shadow:*after a good few hours of swimming they se the island just up ahead, having passed by the stormclouds by now as the sun shone down at them as if the heavens had opened up. Upon getting closer to the island Sonic recognised it as his home..!*

Sonic: Huh? *stirs a bit as he looks up* I... I'm home! It's my home!

Shadow:*looks exhausted as he reaches out when their close, gripping the sand as he pulls himself up abit, his eyes drifting closed almost instantly as he groans. They had gotten there just before sunset which was much faster than Shadow had predicted*

Sonic: *gets off him and looks down, lowering his ears* Are you alright? You look like you need a long rest...

Shadow:*nods a little as he keeps laying there with his eyes closed*Just...need rest....*grunts as he feels himself being picked up*Urg...*opens his eyes abit*

Sonic: *looks around as he holds him in his arms* Hmm... ah, I have an idea. *carries Shadow over to a small pool and lays him into it, he notices the glass walls* Whoa... I haven't seen this before, glass walls?

*With the press of a button the glass walls raise and the showerhead starts, filling up the tub and then eventually filling up the area with the walls. But with a press of another button the water stops and stays filled*
Shadow:*looks at him sleepily and then gazes around with curious eyes*Is..this your home..?

Sonic: Yeah it is... but I haven't seen this before...

*Then again he never used the mechanical tub Tails builthim since he would never touch the bath and would have a shower instead*
Shadow:*the sun slowly sets on the horizon as the moon peaks out behind some fluffy clouds, his legs slightly glowing as they slowly turn into a beautiful merhog tail with long fins decorating the end and sides, his eyes glowing in the dark as his gills on the sides of his neck became visible*

Sonic: Wow... *stares and blushes a bit at the beauty of the scene*

Shadow:*gracefully does a small backflip before going down to the bottom of the tub, laying down as he snuggles up against the porclein surface as his tail sloftly rests behind him*

Tails:*walks into Sonic's shack, holding his neckerchief since it was all that was left of him when the missile hit him and the smoke settled. Him and the others thought Sonic was dead. He sobs heavily as he sits at his table and covers his face, the cloth gripped in his hand tight as he bawls his eyes out as if the world had fallen around him*

Tasils:*he comes out to find the poor fox crying his eyes out into his hands*

Sonic: *gets up and walks behind Tails, he sits down next to him and puts a hand on his shoulder* Tails?

Tails:*opens his eyes quickly as he looks at him with a gasp*S-Sonic?!*hugs him quickly as he sobs heavily*Sonic!! We-We thought you were DEAD!!

Sonic: *hugs back and smiles softly* You underestimate me, little buddy... I thought I was a goner though but a merhog called Shadow rescued me!

Tails:*looks at him with big, watery eyes, sniffling as he rubs one of them*M-Merhog? You're pulling my leg...

Tails:*blinks*The tank...?*eyes widen as he laughs and shakes his head*Sonic~! Thats a bathtub~ It just has built in glass walls for when you have a shower in it ^^ You probably just never used it cause you're too attached to your old shower~

Shadow:*his tail lightly swishes before settling again, looking so peaceful in the sleep that he so clearly deserve*

Tails:*notices the deep cut around his tail fin that was loosely bandaged. It must of been that cut that Sonic had bandaged up before when he had legs*Oh geez...! Is he okay??

Shadow:*after a couple of hours of sleep he slowly opens his eyes and stretches out, swimming up to the glass wall as he looks around the bathroom curiously, making a soft chirping sound before swimming in a small circle to stretch his tail*
