"Kodai," Goliath began, turning to his son with a scowl on his face. "What is this?" Kodai turned around in his desk chair to see that his father had somehow found a brown box filled with snack pastries and cookies. His blood quickly ran cold as he realized that Goliath had just found his "secret stash" of sorts.

"Where did you find that?!" Kodai screamed, nearly jumping out of his seat.

"How long have you been keeping this from me?" Goliath asked back, earning a scowl from his chubby foster child.

"It's..." Kodai awkwardly began, searching his brain for an explanation that would appease his military-based parent. "It's just a snack reserve that I've been saving for... um, long study nights!"

"I don't think sweets are good for keeping you alert. Especially for a long period of time." Goliath responded. Looks like the excuse didn't land. "I think I need to assign a nutritional specialist to monitor you."

"You make it sound like I'm a freaking war criminal!" Kodai defended. "Look, just because you found my secret junk food stash doesn't mean I have a problem, Dad!"

"You're increasingly limited wardrobe says otherwise," Goliath snapped back, earning a "humpf" from Kodai. There was no convincing either side it seemed.

"Well, it's not like you can keep from me for long, old man," Kodai grumbled, opening up a pastry lying on his desk. "You know I have a keen sense of smell when it comes to sweets." Crap! Goliath didn't think of that. He was considering just confiscating the box, but Kodai would find it eventually. He sighed heavily as he realized that there was only one option left to him.

"Then I'm just going to have to eat the whole box," Goliath reasoned, grabbing a bag of cookies and popping it open. Kodai turned back around and looked on in a mixture of horror and anger as he saw his father begin devouring his treasure trove.

"Dad, what the hell?!" Kodai yelled, getting up from his seat and trying to pry the box from his father's admittedly strong grip. Goliath kept on, ignoring the sick feeling in his stomach. He hated sweets, but was willing to set that aside to at least try to regulate his son's voracious appetite.

"This is for your own good, my Extra Soft Soldier!"
