Yup , have read both manhua and light novel. Both the plots and character developments are better than the anime. Has more humor there too haha

Well aside from the scarf , his entire outfit looks the same when he started from level 1 in the anime. I like the humor they had in the novel and manhua version of his rainbow color / mix and match outfit.
But for the anime wise , I guess you have to take into account that the outfit is complicated to animate thus they only stuck with one design. Or also part of the reason is perhaps laziness , but who knows haha. It's a pity though , I liked the manhua and novel version more. I started off with the anime , only the other two later on , and only did I realized that they rushed the anime so much.

If they had more time, they certainly could've stuck closer to the manhua and light novel. The hair is arguably the thing they could've kept at the least (It frustrates me when they didn't keep Ye Xiu and Little Tang's hair but changed Xu Boyuan's hair to the original style. Out of all the people, only one had side bangs and it wasn't what that character's hair was supposed to be like!) But rushed anime is better than no anime ...Usually

I don't really have much problem with their hair though haha , just a bit disappointed on the character development part. Personalities and characteristics too. I find that they're all funnier in the light novel and manhwa , compared to the anime. Ye Xiu isn't as humorous as he is in the light novel and manhua (lol). Also another problem is that they're probably reusing scenes a little too often.
ps: this is a just a rumor I read from one of the fanpages , apparently they're saying that the animators from china may not be animating for season 2 , and will be taken over by the japanese. Would be cool if animation studio like Ufotable animate quan zhi gao shou

Yes I love it very much too :] The manhua and light novel's good too , in fact they have more character developments there.
